Childspace Day Care was built around the philosophy of having respect for oneself and others regardless of ability, race, culture, background, social status or religious beliefs. She felt "that the children learned best with caring facilitators in a warm, friendly environment where they were free to explore their interests at their own pace and level of development".
This philosophy continues today. There were many steps before she was able to open the doors of Childspace Day Care: obtaining a license from the Province; the granting of a subsidy agreement from the City of Toronto and a start-up grant of $15,000. The Childspace Day Care journey has had tremendous growth.

Services
Childspace is organized and incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of Ontario. As provided in the constitution and by-laws, the corporation is overseen by a Board of Directors duly elected by the members of the corporation at an Annual General Meeting each June. The parents and guardians of children enrolled at Childspace are the members of the corporation.
Our Board of Directors consists of up to 10 dedicated professionals, community members and parents who volunteer their time and expertise to support the good governance of Childspace. Each member can serve a two year term, they can also be re-elected by the members in attendance at the AGM. The mandate of the Board is to make sound business decisions for the whole organization while governing the corporation.

We currently have a School-age and Infant vacancies for full time position.
Our day care programs are divided into 4 different age groups and designed to ensure the growth and development of each child. When your child enters our Infant program they will be provided with many art and sensory experiences, dramatic play themes, science exploration, music and movement and gross motor activities.
