Erica Baker Psychological Services Ltd is a private practice in downtown Halifax. Our practice is one of few local businesses that specializes in assessment services for individuals with learning, behavioural and developmental differences. We pride ourselves on the comprehensiveness of our assessments.
Our practice offers a variety of psychological assessments for individuals across the lifespan. We provide assessment services for children aged 2-and-up, teenagers and adults. Our specialized ASD Team consists of psychologists with knowledge and expertise in 'gold standard' assessment and evidence-based treatment for individuals with ASD across the lifespan.
Identifying an individual's strengths and challenges in learning and behaviour in educational settings such as preschools, schools, colleges and universities. This type of psychological assessment is used to assist in evaluating how changes in the brain affect what an individual can do. This type of psychological assessment is used to evaluate for Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Our specialized Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Team consists of psychologists with knowledge and expertise in 'gold standard' assessment and evidence-based treatment for individuals with ASD across the lifespan. We offer practical and effective interventions that address the diverse communication, social, behavioural and mental health needs of individuals with ASD.
Clients typically consist of teenagers, university students, and adults diagnosed with ADHD and/or executive functioning challenges associated with a learning disability. For elementary school-aged children, the psychologist works primarily with the parents. Coaching provides a supportive environment for learning.
