Dr. Kathy Hubley Carruthers began her individual private practice in 2011, after working for five years in a private practice in Calgary, Alberta, and nine additional years as an Associate Psychologist for Genest Psychological Services in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, OCD, health anxiety, performance anxiety, social anxiety). Our highly trained psychologists can help you to develop your virtual "toolbox" of skills. You can then use these new skills to more effectively manage your thoughts (cognitions), feelings, behaviors, and to improve your overall relationships.
The team at Dr. Hubley Carruthers & Associates conduct screener assessments for adults with possible ADHD. These screener assessments are more streamlined and less costly than the full-scale assessments that are conducted at local assessment-based practices and can help to determine IF a full-scale assessment is, in fact, necessary.
Though we do not perform psycho-educational assessments at this practice, we are co-located with Erica Baker Psychological Services Ltd. who specializes in psychoeducational, neuropsychological and vocational assessments. You may also visit the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia website at http://www.apns.ca/ to find a psychologist who would best suite your assessment needs.
Please note that documentation prepared on your behalf, at your request, will also be billed at our hourly rate. This includes letters to schools, reports to insurance companies, etc. Should a request for a report be received from a third party directly, we can request that the third party cover the cost of reporting.
