In-person Tae Kwon Do classes for children, families, and adults are underway at the do-jang. Red Phoenix Tae Kwon Do is focused on providing students with a safe space to learn and practice martial arts. Our years of experience practicing Tae Kwon Do and teaching it provides us with the skills needed to instruct students of all ages.

All our classes are organized by age and experience level. Master Cha will advise on an appropriate class and grouping to ensure safety and a great experience for all students. Join our roster of talented Alberta athletes and improve your sparring skills or poomse technique. Try a new style of workout and learn the bamboo sword techniques with the Korean sword art of Haidong Geumdo.

Master Cha was a well-known athlete in Korean and Canada. His professional instruction is undoubtedly awesome. I am happy to know him for many decades. I highly recommend anyone looking for Martial arts (Taekwondo), I highly recommend Red Phoenix.

My kids are really enjoying the classes at Red Phoenix. They stuck with the energetic online classes during lockdown and have returned to classes at the do-jang. Both Master Cha and Instructor Ly are upbeat and encouraging and really understand how to connect with kids and adults.

Edit 20201111 The Dojang has relocated to a new facility that is probably 2-3 times larger. Their Covid-19 management is exceptional. The personal distancing is clearly marked on the floors with multi-colored tiles and maintained. Students wear masks, there are alcohol dispensers on the way in and on the way out. They use a fogger to disinfect the mats between classes, and they are able to open the bay door for ventilation. Only negative is that sparring has been cancelled due to covid distancing measures. Bummer!

Our son has been learning Tae Kwon Do from Master Cha and his team for the last three years and the progress he made is just amazing. He really loves to go there.
