Beginning her floral career in 2004 while attending art school in Australia, Erica Smolders returned to Victoria, founding Rook & Rose in 2010. Featuring an all female team, Rook & Rose has grown into a multi-hyphenate business that includes a brick and mortar retail shop, online store, weddings and events department, and photo studio - in addition to the fresh and dried floral designs it's become known for.

Services
Located just two blocks from the Rook & Rose Shop, our fully furnished rental space features a private walk-up, high speed wi-fi, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and full bath. The decor is purposefully minimal, enhancing the apartment's original architecture- high ceilings, large windows, and century-old hardwood floors, timelessly accessorized with natural linens, fresh plants, and vintage furniture.
1pm for delivery, but you're welcome to give us a call a little after that if you'd like to organize a pick up. Pick up is available up until one hour before we close. Dust them occasionally and keep them out of direct sunlight, but otherwise they're here to stay. With care, and in the proper conditions, we are confident your florals will last a minimum of three days from the time of pick up or delivery.
Local pick ups will be available at the 569 Johnson St. storefront, 7 days a week, between 12pm-4pm. All shop items, including fresh and dried florals, home accessories, vaseware, and apothecary are available for free curbside pick up. Please allow a minimum of 1-2 hours from the time your order is placed and the time you need it - our designers will fulfill in the order they are received.
All Dried Flowers, Accessories, Apothecary items, and select Vaseware are available to be shipped across Canada and the USA. Please allow 2-3 business days for your order to be wrapped, packed, and sent on it's way! If items are being shipped for a wedding or holiday and are needed by a specific date, please specify that in the 'special instructions' field at checkout.

Their arrangements are so unique and beautiful and the owner, Erica, made sure to reach out with a personal note to make sure everything was perfect. This is my first experience of dealing with Rook & Rose but it most certainly won't be my last! Their website is fantastic, showing in great detail the breadth and depth of their amazing range of floral offerings.
Once I'd made my selection, payment was a breeze (along with a healthy newcomers discount!) and an acknowledgement of my order was immediately forthcoming. Delivery of my order was carried out on the day that I requested and was received with great enthusiasm by my Victoria-residing sister.

What a wonderful place! A great selection of beautiful arrangements and a professional, client-oriented approach to business. After searching major fIorists online, I found that they were not taking new orders for same day delivery on Christmas Eve. Then I saw the ad for the Rook and Rose, and my order taken and delivered the same day! What impressed me most was how they were extremely helpful and courteous. Rook and Rose did our wedding flowers and they seriously went above and beyond for us. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and they were happy to book a new date for us the following year at no extra cost. Erica was so friendly and easy to work with - you can tell she is very passionate about her work and takes her client’s vision seriously. First, the bouquets Rook & Rose create are beautiful and interesting. But I would really like to commend them for their service. I asked them to deliver flowers to my daughter's office at the BC Legislature (for her birthday), and they did so, at the time requested. The people from Rook & Rose who spoke with me on the phone were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Got a bouquet for my birthday, they charged my husband $60 for it, it was filled with three roses, three dead purple plants and dead "extras". Complained to the management and asked for a refund, told me they were dried and didn't care that I was upset and unsatisfied. Don't waste your time or money, go to Browns instead.

If you are looking for excellent quality of flowers and beautiful, elegant arragments, Rook and Rose is the place!!! I had them take care of both my sister's wedding and my own wedding and I don't have enough words to say WOW! what an amazing job they did. I am a very picky person as I have great sense of style and an eye for details and quality in service and products so I am not easily impressed unless its top notch. My wedding room was an absolute dream and the flowers were of such high quality that my guests thought they weren't real and had to touch them to be sure. I highly

My favorite florist ever...if you are looking for something creative unique beautiful this is where you come! Love everything about about this precious shoppe. Erica and her gals deliver fresh arrangements to our office weekly and it is by far my favorite day. I am always so impressed about each creation we receive.
