A dental implant is a small man-made titanium screw that serves as the replacement for the root portion of a missing natural tooth. The implant is placed in the bone of the upper or lower jaw and allowed to bond with the bone and serve as an anchor for the replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used to replace a single lost tooth or many missing teeth.
A bridge is a dental appliance that replaces one or more natural missing teeth, thereby "bridging" the space between two teeth. Fixed bridges are cemented into place next to the "abutment" teeth - the surrounding teeth on either side of the space. Unlike removable partial dentures, fixed bridges cannot be taken out of the mouth by the patient.
Our competent dentists will ensure that the extraction process is as comfortable as possible. Once profound anesthesia is achieved, the tooth will be removed. Instructions will be given to ensure proper post-operative care and a speedy recovery. Removing a tooth could lead to the shifting of neighbouring teeth, resulting in problems with chewing and joint function.
Silver and gold fillings used to be our only choices for restoring your damaged or decayed teeth but advances in dental material technology have created strong new synthetic tooth-colored restorative materials that help you look your best. If you decide you would like your tooth restored with a white material, we can use either porcelain or composite resin, which is a plastic-like substance.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Ron's. I just felt I needed to write this review, as people were judging the old receptionists, and not on Dr. Ron's dentistry. These receptionists are long gone. I just had a dental implant, and a root canal and a dental cleaning done at this office, in early January, and I can unequivocally say that everyone was wonderful, and it was an excellent experience, as always. I had no problems with anything, as well as being pain free dentistry. I am not fond of needles, having had bad dental experiences as a child, but I did not feel a thing! Dr. Ron is a gentle, kind

I recently had an implant procedure called All on 4 - and I’m so happy that I did my research and chose Dr Elloway , who is an expert in the field of implants. I had very minimal pain ( only intermittently for a few days from the tissue while it was healing ) I have a wonderful full smile again. Something I have not had since , well , forever ! The staff was kind and caring. All Dr Elloway’s staff - hygienists, dental assistants and front staff have been exceptional. When you are a bit ( or a lot!) nervous it is so calming to be put so much at ease I would highly recommend Dr Elloway for implants

Kudos to everyone at Elgin Dental: Amanda , Jo, Mike and of course Victor . They made me feel very relaxed during these unusual times. Quick, efficient and most of all safe protocol . The procedure modules make you feel like you are in 2001 Space Odessy.

Fantastic dentist who does really good work. He’s tops in implants- I’ve had two implants done by him. Painless. I’m so grateful to have this level of expertise right in our own backyard.

Wonderful new staff at front desk. Such a warm welcoming environment and painless dentistry. I’ve had a lot of work done here including an implant which was excellent work. ( he was an implant instructor for other dentists )Dr Elloway has done free dentistry on the homeless for many many years and gives back to the community. I had booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance, taking time off work to come here. When I arrived to my appointment the receptionist told me that there was no point in taking me in today as they still haven't received my x-rays from my previous dentist. They had 2 weeks to let me know that my appointment would have to be moved to a later date and instead nobody informed me so I unnecessarily drove all the way down there, leaving work for nothing. The receptionist was rude and entitled and refused to apologize. I have heard nice things about Dr. Ron which is why I wanted to come here but after dealing

Dr. Ron and his staff are wonderful and caring. I hate getting needles in my mouth but they make sure I don't ever feel it or if I do, they warn me it might pinch and it never is more than a pinch! I would highly recommend Dr Ron and his staff. There are new staff at the front desk and they are very nice!

I recommend this dental office. Hands down the best dental experience I've had. 4 years ago I was in desperate need of dental work Without any dental coverage. Dr Ron and staff took care of me. I was provided all necessary dental work that was needed to save my teeth! Thank you Dr Ron! Now back on my feet, I continue to use Elgin dental. I cant think of any other dental company that give back in their community like Elgin dental. If your looking for a dentist that cares, go see Dr Ron

Receptionist I think her name was Sandy. Very fake lady. I saw her make a patient very upset as she was leaving the office. Basically made this young women feel like she was a complete idiot. I did not like the way she was talking to her. I was very disapointed as it was my first visit and i was overtaken by what i had seen. The lady dentist was okay though and did take the time to explain things to me. Quite gentle also. The male dentist seemed to busy to even have the time to come over and see me. I think he has three or four chairs going at one time!! How can this be enough time for good patient
