WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE OHIP INSURED SERVICES AT THIS TIME UNTIL THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT AGREES TO LIVES UP TO THEIR OBLIGATIONS to adequately fund those services. Adults 20 to 64 years of age are no longer (as of 2004) covered for full eye exams. However, certain medical conditions do qualify for coverage.
A full eye exam includes comprehensive vision testing to determine your current prescription for glasses, and a thorough eye health assessment including diagnostic tests for glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as other eye diseases and disorders.
It's generally recommended that adults between the ages of 20-64 have a regular eye examination once every 2 years, and that children and teenagers have an annual eye examination beginning no later than age 3. It is also recommended that seniors age 65 and over should also have an annual eye examination.

Dr. Stone's office has a complete dispensary with a wide variety of designer fashion frames as well as "value conscious" frames for every taste and budget. Our staff is knowledgeable and well trained to know what's best for any type of prescription or special need each patient may have. As we are not a retail store, we don't include any retail mark up in the cost of prescription glasses.
