Dr. Maria Montessori, born in 1870, was the first woman in Italy to receive a medical degree. She worked in the fields of psychiatry, education and anthropology. She believed that each child is born with a unique potential to be revealed, rather than as a "blank slate" waiting to be written upon.

The goals of a Montessori education are preparation for life and love of learning. Such an education focuses on encouraging the child's natural desire for learning and finding order in his or her world. Dr. Montessori also discovered that in a properly prepared environment, the child spontaneously explores learning with the tools of inner discipline and outer freedom.

My son stayed here for two years and he started his kindergarten this fall. The teachers here are always friendly and patient. They show a lot of love and care to children, we can tell from our son’s face every time we picked him up. My son enjoyed staying here and he learned a lot of things as well, such as math, geography, cultures etc. We appreciated the teachers efforts here, and I will recommend this school to my friends.

We are so fortunate to be a part of Cambridge Montessori family for the past 5 years. Our daughter and son both graduated from the preschool program and they had so many wonderful experiences. The teachers are warm, caring and patient. The school is a clean, safe and fun place. We would highly recommend this childcare place!

Our daughter had a wonderful time at Cambridge Montessori! She just started kindergarten and is absolutely prepared for the learning journey ahead of her thanks to the great work of all the teachers there. They follow the Montessori methodology in a very clean, peaceful and caring environment that encourages the child to explore many subjects and have fun while doing so. We heard daily stories about the things she was learning, the dance and music classes and even a dentist visit to teach kids how to take care of their teeth! Also, we were always allowed to send our own food for her lunch and snacks
