Our Burnaby daycare centres are located on the border between Burnaby and New Westminster. We are currently part of the BC daycare fee reduction program and our prices reflect the government rebate. All of our facilities are licensed and inspected by Fraser Health and staffed by fully qualified personnel with a ratio of one educator per four students.
We strongly believe that it is through play that children learn best. Our daycare program is structured to provide a warm and safe environment with a wide range of materials which allow children to explore, discover, make choices and create to their own interests. Throughout our daily individual and group activities, each child develops emotionally, socially, and intellectually at their own rate.

Services
In our daily program, we strive to provide children with an environment which encourages fine motor and gross motor skills development. We focus on enhancing children's ability to develop emotionally, socially, intellectually while building self- esteem, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Some of our fine motor activities include painting, play dough fun, puzzles, arts, crafts, baking, lego, music instruments, train, cars, trucks and much more.Some of our gross motor activities include dramatic play, parachute play, sports such as soccer, hockey, baseball, yoga, ballet classes, climbing, field trips, outdoor adventures, nature/park walks and many more depending on weather and conditions.

My son was at Starlight Chid Care Centre for 2 years before he was off to kindergarten. The staff team is amazing. They are friendly, kind, caring and very professional. I really loved the way the staff would connect and engage with the children. My son always had fun and enjoyed the activities, free play, circle time and going outside for nature walks around the neighbourhood. I felt very respected as a parent as there was always open communication about my son's day, and they would send pictures to show me how he was doing. I would recommend Starlight to anyone we had the best experience with

My son attended Starlight for over 2.5 yrs until we moved away. Jenny and the rest of her staff created such a positive and fun environment for my son to learn, develop and grow into the little man that he is now. I'm so grateful for the guidance that they gave my son every day. Such an amazing team!

My daughter started at Starlight at 1 year old and stayed until she attended Kindergarten. Starlight is the best daycare. Jenny & all the staff are so kind & nurturing. The children were always kept busy, they would go on field trips to explore the nearby parks, bus rides to the library and so much more. I'm so happy my daughter attended Starlight, she has so many wonderful memories!

I just loved the day care. When we first visit to the day care for a tour, we just feel very comfortable and ask to save the spot right away. I was very impressed by each staff members. They were all nice and friendly plus highly professional with the children. They also cared about the parents and if i had concerns about anything.

A friend of mine from church had been taking care of my son for three years after I went back to work, and I thought he would just remain with her for one more year before he started Kindergarten. So grateful for the fantastic care my son has received from Jenny and Vidalia over the years... these ladies truly love what they do and it shows. The program is the perfect combination of fun and educational (both academically and socially), the food Jenny prepares is healthy and has tons of variety, and my son looks forward to going to daycare every morning. This year our son turns 4. It has been 2 years since we enrolled him to Starlight Child Care Center, and it is hard to overestimate the changes. Two years ago, after difficult reallocation from Europe to Canada, he has lost sleep and was very irritative. Sometimes it took an hour to finish our breakfast and a great deal of talking to have him behave well in shops.
