Services
Nexus Investment Corporation was established in 1990 by Mr. Andrew C. Bennett. Distinguished in Western Canada as a significant, commercial and CMHC-Insured underwriter, Nexus continues to expand its commercial lending operations throughout Canada. Mr. Bennett has over thirty years experience in commercial underwriting.
CMHC provides insured financing options for construction, multi-family apartment buildings, nursing homes and first nation organizations. CMHC insurance provides options for new acquisitions and the refinance of existing acquisitions. Some of these options include first and second mortgages, 5 and 10 year terms and amortizations up to 25 years.
Conventional financing options are available for all commercial construction types; multi-family apartment buildings, mixed-use buildings, industrial and office. Conventional commercial mortgages offer options which include first and second mortgages, various terms and interest only or amortizations options.
Bridge loans are often used for commercial real estate purchases to quickly close on a property, retrieve or reposition real estate from foreclosure, or take advantage of a short-term opportunity in order to secure long-term financing.

Bridge loans on a property are typically paid back when the property is sold, refinanced with one of our traditional lenders, the borrower's creditworthiness improves, the property is improved or completed, or there is a specific improvement or change that allows a permanent or subsequent round of mortgage financing to occur.
Nexus provides mortgage servicing to both private and institutional investors. A mortgage servicer is a company to which borrowers pay their mortgage loan payments and which performs other services in connection with mortgages and mortgage-backed securities. The mortgage servicer may be the entity that originated the mortgage, or it may have purchased the mortgage servicing rights from the original mortgage lender.
