The Regina Tai Chi Centre is a membership based Chinese Martial arts club. The club offers traditional Tai Chi and Internal Martial Arts classes to club members as well as special classes throughout the year for non-members. The internal styles are great for individuals who wish to improve balance, fitness, and flexibility.
It is less physically intense that Wushu (Kung Fu), but its complexity can create a challenge even for the experienced athlete. Tai Chi or Taijiquan (Grand Ultimate Boxing), is the most well known of the "internal styles". Tai Chi can be studied for its health benefits as it develops power, balance, and strengthens the postural muscles of the body.

Q: How do I become a member? A: To become a member of the school you can enroll in our beginner classes which are held throughout the year or you can be sponsored by an existing member. Q: Why are there member and non-member classes? A: Tai Chi and the internal martial arts can be practiced for general exercise and health but the martial arts aspect is also important.
This class is entirely focused on studying the fundamentals of Tai Chi and Qigong. This is designed for beginners and advanced students alike. Students in this class will learn fundamental movements and gain an understanding of body mechanics behind the movement and the practical martial arts applications of movements.
The Regina Tai Chi Centre continues with classes this winter (2019). The focus of our Wednesday classes will be on the fundamentals of Tai Chi introducing the 10 Step form with a focus on the 13 postures. We welcome all new students! Feel free to contact us or visit our facebook page for details on class times.
We often find stories like this all over the Internet. A quick Google search for Tai Chi or Qigong will bring plenty of health and wellness articles and we encourage you to take the time to read about the benefits for yourself. Even better, come and try our free Qigong classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM and experience the benefits!
