We are a multidisciplinary wellness centre offering complementary healthcare in downtown Toronto. Established in 2006, Zentai is owned and operated by a husband-and-wife naturopathic doctor team, Dr. Makoto Trotter, ND and Dr. Aileen Lim-Trotter, ND. The Zentai Wellness team is comprised of qualified and experienced health practitioners who will provide you with exceptional care.
We offer a full complement of alternative health services by our qualified and licensed Multidisciplinary Wellness Team. If you want to be treated by a Naturopathic Doctor; get Acupuncture; deal with deep-seated emotional or mental issues with Certified Hypnotherapists; examine your frustrations with a Registered Psychotherapist; or unwind with Massage Therapy, we have licensed health practitioners available to care for you.

While we prefer to see our patients in person - especially for the initial visit - we understand that sometimes that is not possible. We have quite a few patients who live outside the GTA, have young children, are care-givers to disabled or elderly persons, or otherwise have mobility challenges.

We are a registered provider with Telus Health, which means that we can process your health claim immediately with participating insurance companies. In order for us to process your claim, please come prepared with your Plan ID and Member ID.
Telehealth is a system of healthcare that uses telecommunications via phone or video calls. During a telehealth appointment, our licensed naturopathic doctor, Dr. Makoto Trotter, ND, will consult with you to assess and optimize your health at a distance. Our naturopathic doctor uses naturopathic methods to guide you in addressing your health concerns.

I called this morning at 10:10AM 12/15/2021 to inquire about holistic dermatology and the receptionist was shockingly rude. Her attitude and tone of voice completely turned me off from wanting to book with this clinic. My partner who was beside me when I called is shocked as well. People shouldn't have to deal with that when calling about their skin concerns.

Dr. Mokoto is very knowledgeable, compassionate and professional in caring for his patients. Baby Trinity always goes to Dr. Makoto for her routine well visits, to ensure she is hitting all of her milestones and is up-to-date with her growth and development. Zentai Wellness also offers food allergy testing for babies. This is an extra service paid at your own expense. We are thrilled to have found naturopathic pediatric care at Zentai Wellness and are fortunate to have the benefits to attend these services.

Visited Dr. Makoto with my 7 month old baby after reading about him on a baby blog. My baby was covered from head to toe with eczema. We had been battling with elimination diets, sleepless nights, and multiple medical doctor visits since he was a month old. Dr. Makoto Trotter is a great Naturopath. I especially appreciate his open minded approach to treatment. He always listens to questions and concerns, follows up he next time you see him so you really feel like you were heard. I was suffering with a severe eczema attack and suffer from seasonal allergies. He was able to address my issues understanding that sometimes we need to combine Western and alternative methods of treatment. I highly recommend you visit his clinic. Everyone is welcoming and always helpful.
