We barely go to optometrists so when we do, we should look for the best! I am super pleased I chose Dr. Pal\'s office. They were helpful from beginning to end, from booking on the phone to my actual visit. Dr. Pal was very detailed and went in-depth about my eye health. She is very patient and made me feel calm.

Dr. Pal and her staff are fantastic! From the moment you walk through the door you are made to feel like a priority and well cared-for. My last optometrist was great, but he retired. So I was happy to find an equally great optometrist in Dr Pal (and one far more conveniently located). I've been going to her for a few years now, as has my son. She's friendly, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional, explaining everything and answering any questions I might have. She and her staff have accommodated all my requests - like putting new lenses in existing frames. If you are looking for an amazing Optomitrist then stop looking - see Dr Shalu Pal, she and her entire staff are amazing!!!!! They are so helpful, efficient and just so easy to deal with. I have been struggling with my eyes for awhile and they have patiently brought me along so I can see a light at the end of a long tunnel. Please give this group a try, you will not be disappointed. I am so happy to have Dr. Pal caring for my vision! She and her team are wonderful -- so friendly and skilled! I always feel that my care is extremely thorough, using the latest technology. For example, she baselined me for macular degeneration years ago (potentially a problem for me), and has been monitoring annually and recommending oral supplements to strengthen my eyes. With my last glasses, the staff were able to expedite delivery, which was a godsend! Her selection of frames is fantastic, by the way -- I can always find something stylish and funky! This is a really terrific optometry clinic. The staff are thoroughly professional and friendly. The clinic is beautiful and located close to public transit in a great part of downtown Toronto. Finally, Dr. Pal is a wonderful doctor -- thorough, methodical, blessed with the ability to explain things clearly in layman's terms and a genuine pleasure to speak with.

Once in the door Dr Pal is a good optomotrist but she is undependable. I cluster appointments to minimize my trips to the city and in spite of having booked 3 months in advance I consistently get a phone call that she 'will be away' so I have to rebook. Her cancellation is always within a couple of weeks of the apppintment which makes it impossible to schedule with someone else in her office. This inconsiderate behaviour sends a strong message that her time is more valuable than yours

The staff are very nice and friendly, and Dr. Pal is very kind, knowledgeable and takes her time to thoroughly explain everything to you. One staff member in particular, Sarah, went out of her way numerous times to accommodate me. I can't thank her enough! Highly recommend going to Dr. Pal. Her and her team are wonderful!

From the moment I stepped foot into this amazing office today, I felt at home. Everyone was super friendly and all COVID protocols were followed, making me feel super safe and comfortable! Walked out of my appointment understanding exactly what all my exams entailed and all the results thanks to how thorough Dr. Pal explained everything to me. Will be coming back every year for my routine exam and recommending my family and friends!

We had a great experience recently with Dr. Blanc and her team at Dr. Pal's office. Our son is 6 years old and it was his first experience getting fitted for glasses. Everyone was super friendly and lovely with him - he was very comfortable. He managed to fall and scratch his new lenses within two weeks and gratefully, it was replaced at no cost. My whole family has been going to Dr. Blanc for some time now and I highly recommend working with her and the other associates. Truly really friendly staff.

I experienced great customer service while at Dr. Shalu Pal and Associates. Everyone was super friendly and professional. They abided by the COVID-19 regulations (e.g., wearing masks, social distancing) and I felt super safe while I was there.
They helped me pick out glasses which were super stylish and outside of my general comfort zone. It was super fun trying on the different styles since, once again, they helped me get outside of my comfort zone... while also staying somewhat within it. I feel confident, comfortable and classy in my new glasses!

Dr. Pal is wonderful, thorough and extremely qualified. She is regularly speaks at leading conferences, has all of the latest technology in her clinic, and has a great team. What I appreciate most of all is that she spends the time to get to know what is going on in my life and has a ton of patience for my rambling stories about various eye issues. When I had a serious issue years ago, she found it quickly and fast tracked me to specialists that would have otherwise taken months to see. I honestly couldn't ask for more. Who likes seeing the eye doctor? I do.

I've been coming here for years and I'm feel like I'm treated like a family friend. They remember who you are and it genuine. The tech used is purposeful and the location is incredibly convenient at Bay station (it's reachable by underground from the station).
I've had bad experiences with eye exams in the past and in all my time here, I've never had one here. This includes the dialation test!
I trust Dr. Pal and her team with my care without question.

Excellent team. They help make my visits comfortable and they always offer options to make my life and vision better. The staff is friendly and engaged, and the doctors are as well.
I like to ask a lot of questions, but everyone is pretty open about what they know. They also take care of those little details, like asking if I'd like water or suggesting I bring sunglasses as they'll dilate me later.
It's good to know my vision is in good hands but also that they really do care...this makes me more open towards them too, which is very important in healthcare.

I lost my very expensive glasses and called Dr Pal's office a year later to see if we could replace the same frames. They sourced the frames and arranged the glasses seamlessly. In fact when faced with a time crunch to meet my travel time lines they went above and beyond, even delivering the glasses personally to my home. Can't beat that for service.

I'm so torn. I love, love, love Dr. Pal--she's the most thorough, patient, and skilled optometrist I've ever seen. She's up to date on the literature, she knows a lot, and doesn't rush you.
However, I can't say the same about the rest of my experience. One of her employees did a lacklustre upsell for a test I'd never heard of, saying it was "like an MRI" and "recommended for people your age" (thanks...). But the main issue is with my glasses. I found this place on Yelp. Because of the 5 star rating, I decided to give it a shot.
First of all, Dr. Shalu Pal, by herself, I would give a 5 star rating. She's very knowledgeable, and though the price is quite high, I would probably go back. She really did take her time and explain the importance of different lenses to me and answered all my questions.

Friendly staffs, great location and the doctor herself is really nice. She's very thorough and explained everything for me in plain English. A lot of Optometrist refused to see me unless I took the expensive eye exam from them but this is not the case. She also has great selection of sunglasses and contact lenses.
If you live or work in downtown, look no further. Dr. Pal is the best!
