Shining Stars Child Care Centre is a day care facility serving Richmond Hill, Markham, Stouffville and Vaughan areas. We are located on Elgin Mills Road East between Leslie Street and Bayview Avenue in prestigious Richmond Hill, Ontario across from Richmond Green Community Centre. We are NOW OPEN and fully licensed by the Ministry of Education.

Services
For toddlers we have a program that has been developed to meet their needs of limitless energy, natural curiosity for learning and struggle for independence. Learning centers, with educational and developmentally appropriate toys designed for learning, create a bright and exciting environment for your child.
Preschoolers have a program that includes a wide range of experiences, which builds on the natural curiosity of this age group about the world around them. The children will explore topics through group time introductions and reviews, daily enrichments, and additions to each learning center.
Because preschoolers like to learn new information and have the desire to master new tasks, much of what your child learns will be through self-directed experiences.Throughout the day, children will have the opportunity to explore the classroom's learning centers: Blocks & Building, Dramatic Play, Library, Music & Movement, Cognitive, Science & Discovery, and Creative.

Our JK/SK program is geared to the needs of children who attend junior or senior kindergarten, but who require care for the days they are not attending school. Activities in the program build upon the kindergarten experiences such as auditory skills, reading and writing, visual discrimination, art projects, letter concepts and math awareness.
Shining Stars Child Care Centre is located in the heart of York Region, servicing the communities of Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Markham. We are licensed by the Ministry of Education and our facility and programming complies with the Day Nurseries Acts of Ontario.

Good nutrition is essential for healthy growth and development and is therefore, an important and intrinsic part of our program. We have lunch in everyday, as well as breakfast and snack prepared and cook onsite. All meals are in accordance with Canada's Food Guide. We are a NUT FREE environment and do not accept any outside food due to allergies within the centre.

The staff is friendly and professional, we have camera access and they post pictures every week and provide info about next week. They also care children by asking us to bring in things for extra caution or just to make kids life better. I am so lucky to have my kid in this child care.

I cannot say enough about how much I love this daycare. From the moment my eldest started there 8 years ago, they have gone above and beyond to ensure the best care and so much love for my kids. During the pandemic, their safety precautions have been second to none and we've never worried about our child's safety. I will truly be heartbroken when I have no more children to send here :( We love them all.

I strongly recommend this child care centre to families. My son attending shining stars when he was 18 months, he was very shy and sensitive at the beginning, even though junior toddler room was quite busy with little kids ,Ms Geri and Ms Cheryll always show their greatest patient with my son. also Ms Francine, Ms Sachili, Ms Bronwen and all other staffs are really profession and compassionate teacher for kids, they really put
"care" in day-care. Because of their caring and professional approach my son become more confident and brave.we are so grateful for it!

My twin daughters started going here when they were 2.5 years old and the day before I gave birth to my third baby. My girls truly enjoyed coming here and loved their teachers. They were with the toddler and preschool the year after. The centre has treated them like they are family and have accommodated us as much as they can. I have another baby so by 5:30pm they get the twins all set up and ready for pick up so I don’t have to take my baby inside. They have also worked so much to help one of my daughters with her physical and social development since she has ASD. The twins come home and show

After visiting several daycare centers and Montessori schools in the same area, we decided to go with Shining Stars because of the staff. They really care about the children and whenever we gave them specific instructions about the best way to care for our son, they were more than happy to do so! Definitely a great place for children where they will be safe and most importantly, cared for.

Thank you so much, Shinning Stars! My son is in the preschool room, he is so happy to go to school every day. The director Miss Holly is so friendly and warm. The three teachers in my son's class are very nice, Miss Melissa, Miss Stacy, Miss Bronwen. All the staffs in Shinning Stars, I feel they not doing this as a job, but also love kids a lot.

Those accidents happened a while ago. It had been an unpleasant memory for me and I am very thankful that my beloved son is still with me today. As a father, I have to write to express my feeling about this daycare. After I had a discussion with my wife today regarding our experience for our son staying in Shining star. I was told that my son fell down from a bike his head down backward without a helmet with him, and the answer I got from the teacher was that my 2 years old son refused to wear the helmet, and the problem became my 2 years old son's lack of responsibility. This is a licensed day care starting from 18 month to pre-school. Teachers are nice and the supervisor is well organized. Overall it is bright, clean, and comfortable for kids. My kid has been here for almost a year, he is quite happy here.
One thing, this day care you have to prepare diapers yourself, not a big issue.

We visited many daycare center and Montessori before deciding on Shining Stars. This is the best daycare you can ever ask for. The supervisor is super flexible and all the staffs are so caring. They have cameras and you can see what your kid is doing through your phone during the day. I call the center all the time to see how my LO is doing, and they are very friendly to answer all my questions. My LO went through Jr Toddler Room and Sr. Toddler Room, due to personal reason, we have to leave the center. However, if we have a choice, we would of stay til my LO goes to JK. No regrets of choosing
