Engineered hardwood is made completely out of wood. The top layer is a veneer of the desired hardwood. Engineered hardwood is certainly more solid than traditional hardwood or laminate flooring. That being said, it is still made of wood which by nature can still scratch. Maintaining engineered hardwood floors is similar to maintaining traditional hardwood floors.
Water Proof Laminate flooring is another imitation hardwood flooring option. Laminate flooring is Water Proof similar to vinyl flooring in the sense that it has a realistic wood image layered on top of a sturdy core. Laminate differs from vinyl flooring because the core is different. Laminate flooring cores are made from wood byproducts as opposed to PVC plastics.
Traditional hardwood flooring is made from slabs of timber from a number of different trees. Each hardwood floor panel is completely unique. They are cut into equal length, thickness, and width. I can not express how grateful my wife and I to Rocco and the quality of his service! We came in in a bit of a rush because we are on a time crunch. He patiently explained to us the differences in quality of engineered hardwood and even pointed us in the right direction in terms of suppliers who have inventory now. Additionally, he called the suppliers with us present just to make sure that they had inventory so we could have the product in time to complete the project. We loved the experience of working with him and would definitely come here first next time. Thank you Rocco.

Would not recommend.
The owner was rude from them moment we walked in. He asked if we had something in mind and when I pulled out my phone (because we didn’t have a sample of the floor we were trying to complement) he said “yeah, yeah, show me a picture like you all do” and rudely dismissed my partner and I. He proceeded to accuse us of not understanding the different types of flooring; however, we had brand and type of floor in mind to complement the existing flooring and it could have been an easy sale for him. He showed us a few samples but continued to make condensing remarks so we decided

Don't waste your time coming here.
The business owner / "sales representative" was rude from the moment I walked in the store. He had a condescending attitude and no understanding of customer service. I should have walked out then, I'm surprised anybody does business here.
He began the interaction with "What do you want? If you're looking for the cheap stuff it's not here!" This was before a greeting.
I told him I knew what product I wanted from one of his suppliers, they recommended his store. I was ready to make a purchase that day. It took him quite a bit of time to provide a price and he

Very happy with our experience at Hardwood Plus. Rocco was extremely helpful and ensured that we spent our money on hardwood that was worth what we paid for it. Rocco ensured that we got a great product by educating us on not only the top coat but also the core of the floor (something other companies never talked about) Our hardwood came in quickly and we were very happy with the end result.

I am really impressed with the amazing selection at Hardwood Plus. I was a bit overwhelmed at first but Rocco was super patient and knowledgeable.
He was great at helping me narrow my choices very quickly by asking me questions I never would have thought of. He took the time to explain the differences between the types of hardwood and helped me figure out the perfect hardwood flooring solution for my upstairs! Highly recommend!
