Online shopping is so bad here. I ordered something for my baby for a special occasion and its been almost 20 days and it is still in transit. They shipped it just a few days ago. I ordered so many more things from buybuy baby , indigo and amazon. Everything came on time except westcoast order. And they charged me for shipping too.

The customer service is horrible. Two back to back experiences. Waited about 25 mins in the store to pickup a online order they told me was ready the day before. I even called several times ahead of pickup, over a span on an hour, to let them know I was coming but nobody picked up. While in the store waiting for them to bring out the item, I called a few times just to see if anybody would pickup. Nobody did. It’s super easy to get overwhelmed looking at things here as first time parents but Cecil was a life saver. He really took the time to walk us through different stroller options and explain the differences between them along with car seats. I’ve spent thousands of dollars at west coast kids buying multiple car seats and items there the past 8 years . Recently I replaced four car seats there . One of the staff dropped a car seat on my 1 year old and he instantly screamed and went pale and sleepy... he was okay quickly after but has a chipped tooth from the incident (his tongue had… blood on it) they denied it hit him ... conveniently it was a new store with no cameras working yet. As a mother I was very shook up. I was followed up by multiple managers and was told they would be placing signs and bringing in procedures

The store is only getting a 1 star because of the really nice baby products they carry. Everything else is a NEGATIVE ZERO.
It is almost like they hire staff based on the disinterest and attitude. I walked in last night to do an online return at 5pm (they close at 6) and the store had 3 groups of customers (myself being 1 of them) and at least 4 staff walking around, setting up displays etc. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM GREETED ME. They all either avoided eye contact or looked at me and looked away.
There was a cashier and I was the first in line with nobody in front of me, she literally saw me standing

I was going to purchase a crib from this location along with a mattress and perhaps a change table. I walked around the store with the sales person and she was to draw me up a quote. I left anticipating a follow up email with the quote but it never came. I called several times to ask them to send it and it never arrived. I ended up shopping elsewhere.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was at your Beacon Hill Store in Calgary yesterday and was asked to leave because the store is closed. 10 minutes before the store closed, the lady assisting me said that she will allow me to try the booster seat on my vehicle that after she assists the other customer who was doing the same thing. After the other customer… tried it on, now it was my turn to test it but to my surprise I was asked to leave because it was exactly 8 minutes since the store closed. Worst customer service and return policy ever, especially for a kids store where you need flexibility. For a high end store, their operations run like a small mom and pop. I tried to return an item purchased online and the clerk wrote down my items on a notepad and pencil and said that she couldn’t issue my return and would have to call the online… customer service line to issue my return via credit card. You can research your baby items here but I recommend to buy it elsewhere so you have the flexibility and better customer service. The stores look like warehouses which is a shock

Sold me a faulty product and tried to refuse allowing me to return for a refund. Tried to push me to manufacturer for a replacement even though their own website offers returns for refunds. After 2 weeks of going back and forth and threatening to make a claim with PayPal , complaint with BBB and not backing down, they finally allowed me to return for a refund. Will never shop with WCK again! Waste of time and horrible customer service!

They might sell high end gear, but they absolutely don't have high end service. I went to West Coast kids in order to purchase a carseat for my son. I was directed to a sales associate who worked in this department, and spent considerable time with her learning about the various models of carseats sold here. After many questions and careful consideration, I allowed myself to be upsold from the base model to the higher end model due to information provided by staff. Because carseats come in big brown cardboard boxes, it wasn't until I got home and cut the tape and saw the new carseat

Staff and management who follow rigid corporate policies, which prevent them from making decisions that make good sense to keep customers happy. I can't believe this place is still in business. My wife and I went to Westcoast Kids in Beacon Heights (the north store) to look for a second stroller. We were standing around for many minutes and a few sales ladies walked right past us without offering any help. I only come to west coast when I absolutely need something, if I didn't need it right away I would just buy it online. These women must really hate their lives, why else would they be 50+ working in retail. I would give ZERO stars if I could. This store will not stand behind any of their products. We went to return an inflatable bed that had inflation issues from day one. The website (and west coast kids staff) convinced us this product was suitable for "more than occasional use". It lost air every night. The company who produces this product stated on the instructions it was normal for it lose a small amount of air with pressure changes, temp changes in the house etc. eventually the problem got worse and we investigated to find holes everywhere at seam points.

Went in with my little guy to go look for a gift for a friend and new baby. Wandered around to see the type of items they do have. Spotted two staff members wo were more interested in chatting with each other than with me? So wandered around a bit more hoping for at least a hello or acknowledgement. No such luck.
