Pitabake
One of the best tastes from the Mediterranean is fresh bread baked in a stone oven. To make it even better, people of the Mediterranean would put traditional toppings on the flatbread and bake it all together. Mmm. At PitaBake, we make traditional Flatbreads (Pitas) in our massive 6,300 pound STONE BAKE OVEN.

The taste of stone-baked is unrivaled. To add a twist to traditional toppings on Flatbread Pitas, PitaBake has taken flavours from around the world and baked them on our Flatbread Pitas. In addition to Stone-Baked Flatbread Pitas, PitaBake also serves other traditional Mediterranean favourites like Kabobs, Falafel, Salads (Tabouli, Fatouche), Fatayer (Mini Stuffed Pitas) and Shawarma.
Services
Try our Unique, Fresh & Healthy Alternative. All of our STONE-BAKED PITAS are Baked using fresh and natural ingredients. We offer several varieties of our mini STONE-BAKED flat bread pitas. The mini STONE-BAKED flat breads are a huge hit with students and offer a nice light alternative to the everyday pizza.

They have a good shawarma wrap. It's tasty and fresh but the size is small I mean I felt a bit ripped off for the price of 17 dollars for a sandwich and a drink. Maybe put more chicken or bring down the price I'm sure you won't break the bank on a few oz of extra chicken next order.

Delicious! Hadn't been there since covid. Wow! Enjoyed a Ceasar pita with my daughter on the terrace. So good I had one made to go to share with the family at home.
Lots of variations. Nice light but filling meal.
Owners are lovely and put their hearts and passion into serving their clients.

Went down hill. Fries were old, portions were small. The meat was old and probably sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Went from 5 star to 1.

We ordered delivery. It was fast, hot and delicious. I will definitely order from here again. The flavours are savoury and satisfying. We had the tandoori chicken pita and a kafta combo. Sauces (hummus and garlic) were creamy, zesty and smooth. The meat was perfectly cooked. The tandoori chicken was light and the vegetables fresh. My special order of extra salad, no fries was accommodated. Overall very good.

This place might be one of the worst in Edmonton. Terrible portions, just slapped together, no taste. I would avoid at all costs. Do not give them your money!

Every time we've been here we leave stuffed to the brim and happy. The kebabs remind my spouse of ones he loved in Europe and I stick with the traditional zaatar on freshly baked bread. It can't get any tastier than this place and with such affordable prices, we can't resist!

I quite enjoyed my chicken shawarma- the meat was tender, the veggies were fresh, crispy, the sauce was pretty good and was the right amount (not too much to make it soggy). I also got a slice of baklava with peanuts- tasty, not too sweet, flaky, multi layered deliciousness.

For a "fast food" joint it was pretty tasty. We just tried the pizzas. They were affordable, cheap, and tasty. We took it to go, which I would recommend because the atmosphere is not relaxed at all..it is more cafeteria style with not much atmosphere. Clean though, but nothing to make me stay and sit and eat. We tried 3 the tandoori chicken, the spinach, and the classic meat pie. My favourite was the classic meat. The tandoori was good too. I wold definitely buy more and try their shawarmas too. I think this would be great for a grab and go picnic in the summer.

Pita bake is always tasty, although a little pricey. He service is usually friendly unless they are busy then it is curt. Their garlic sauce is my favourite on the north side and I like that they have bags of to go "snacks" and treats by the counter. Their shawarma wraps are filled to the brim and the meat is well seasoned and juicy.

Yummy & quick - I love the variety offered here, their kabob platters are my favourite & i always have leftovers. My husband swears by the buffalo chicken pizza, my oldest the the Greek pizza & the youngest (read: pickiest) has the option of plain old cheese or pepperoni. The staff are always so kind to my kids when we stop by to grab something...this is my husband's to go spot if i won't be home to make dinner & we will definitely return.

This place is by far one of my favourite stone big flat bread joints in the city of Edmonton. They’ve got the classic Middle Eastern flat breads in addition to these fusion flatbreads such as tandoori flatbread or Philly steak and others. This place is highly recommended by yours truly so you should give it a try.

Tried this place yesterday. It has good service, a family owned restaurant feel. The decor is nice and the take out counter has some quick-grab baklava. The falafel was really good however, crispy on the outside while warm and soft on the inside. I was hoping to get rice with my plate rather than fries, but that may have been my mistake, or maybe they changed the option from their menu board? Worth a try though!

I've been a customer here for years now, the owner is a great guy, very friendly and always remembers me (even when I don't go in for a couple months). Their food is amazing, I've never had a bad experience. I'm always recommending people to eat here when they're looking for somewhere new to eat.

This is the best pita place in town. I am a regular who comes once a week. Staff remembers me and super friendly. If first time try zataar and meat pie. Then venture out to other flavours. All good. Clean too.

Well it was a very pleasant surprise super clean and friendly. Food was very good had the chicken shawarma plater. Cooked and seasoned very good garlic and hummus on the side could have use a little more garlic sauce and I don't think the fries r needed. Pita on the side was got and fresh just needed a little more garlic sauce and would had been perfect. Will come again when in the area

Authentic Mediterranean food... The smell hits you before you hit the door... soooo good...

I love this place.

I usually have the large falafel or the Tandoori chicken wrap, or the large chicken Souvlaki chicken wrap. With each wrap there's a hit of the Mediterranean spice with the pickled veggies.

I highly recommend checking this place out!

Food was decently priced, quality was alright and portions were big. I ordered the falafel platter. I would not recommend just based on the flavour of the dish and the lack of that special flavour. Overall decent place

I'm just going to re-post my review from their old location. It's a five-star place, that has earned a sixth star for its new location. Fantastic!

"This is an out-of-the way place that deserves a trip. I've only ever eaten a few things here but have been many times. The things I usually order are so good I don't want to stray. Chicken shawarma platter is my go-to, then it's a toss up between the buffalo chicken or the donair pita. And the price is right too. Definitely check this place out."

Drive by this place so many times that I decided it was time to give it a try.

So many choices, but decided to go with the beef kabob platter.
Consists of a pita, salad, hummus, rice, fries, garlic sauce and of course beef (duh).
I've had this similar dish at other places and hate when they burn the beef, but here, it was grilled nicely, where it tasted like beef and not burnt charcoal.
Hummus is one of my fave things, give me just a pita and good hummus and I'm in heaven. The one here, I do have to say, is one of the best I've had.

Prices are good, what you would expect in

PitaBake, it's been awhile since I last visited. New digs and new items on the menu gave me a reason to stop by to check out what's changed. If you didn't know, PitaBake specializes in stone-baked pitas and when you first walk in, you can see the massive pound stove oven working it's magic behind the counter. Fire burning, fire burning on the dance floor. Er, I meant kitchen floor.

The interior is brand new with several tables and booths hugging the back wall (just peak around the corner and you'll get what I'm saying). This legitimately could be a full blown restaurant

This is my first time in the new location. It seems a lot busier already, now that the place is more visible. There is plenty of parking, and it is much more pleasant inside than in the old location. The owner is friendly and generally makes sure that customers are satisfied.

The menu is expanded to include things like shawarma and kabobs - I'm excited to see that. The stone-baked pitas are still a bargain, but today I had a really delicious falafel wrap. I like this place a lot, and my family will undoubtedly visit more often than ever.
