Dovercraft Marina is located in Port Dover, Ontario on the North shore of Lake Erie. Just a short little cruise up Black Creek past the Port Dover Lighthouse and you'll find our marina on the right hand side. Come on in and say hi! We know that you have high expectations, and as a dealer we enjoy the challenge of meeting and exceeding those standards each and every time.

About Us Report

Dovercraft marine was established in 1977 by John VanHalteren. He started his career as a commercial diver servicing under water gas wells for gas and oil back in the late 1960s and 1970's. John then switched into the boat building business and eventually developed an 80 slip marina on Black Creek in Port Dover, Ontario.

2008 65 Steel Expedition Trawler Yacht with worldwide cruising capabilities. Great live aboard with 3 staterooms, 3 heads, separate crew quarters and cherry wood interior. Heavily built proven hull constructed of 5/16 plate, 5 Russel Brother hulls were built to serve overseas for WW II. Powered by a fuel efficient 300 hp single Volvo Diesel engine only 2200 hrs and completely separate Ford Leman 120hp wing engine.

Great people to deal with. They're honest, reliable and friendly and willing to give knowledgeable advice. They have a new mechanic on staff who is excellent. My first choice in Port Dover and the surrounding area.

Excellent location on the river that makes for a nice cruise to and from the lake. Wonderful boating neighbors. John and Alicia are great hosts who will do whatever they can to help you out. Slips and storage are very reasonably priced too. The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the summer hours of the office/store is by appointment only (2016). Hopefully they can get some good help this year. Too much to for just the 2 of them.

Nice people. Good service. Right down the channel in Port Dover which is also a nice cruise in your boat. I wish it they had more slips available for bigger boats.

Always receive great service from these folks. They don't treat you like you have to own a 40' yacht to be spoken to. Unlike some similar businesses in town !! Thanks to John Jr. and the staff.
P.S. They carry minnows in the spring just in time for the perch derby !
