The Alternative (Active) Light Wire Functional (ALF) appliance was developed by Dr. Darick Nordstrom of Hollister, California in the early 1980's.
Dr. Nordstrom observed that after the correction of the malocclusion (misalignment) of the upper and lower jaw, the patient would report relief of TMJ pain, facial pain, neck pain, chronic headaches and shoulder pain, along with other seemingly unrelated symptoms: fatigue, poor sleep, digestion problems, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, throat pain etc.

Had my first visit to a dentist in over a decade. With no dental coverage, the staff were all were very gracious and understanding.
From the receptionist to the hygienist, all who worked there were professional in every way and not the least bit artificial. They made us all feel at home, relaxed and glad to be at the dentist office even in the midst of all this Covid nonsense.

Sunday night chipped a part of crown off the back molar and left a voice message that I needed to get in ASAP as there was some discomfort. Monday morning got a call and they has a slot for me in the late afternoon. The ladies in the dental office spent over 2 hours working on removing the stubborn leftover piece and providing me with a temporary one. They were fantastic in their work ethic and professionalism in dealing with this somewhat emergency request. Many thanks to the staff at Riverside for this exemplary customer service.

Riverside Dental are fantastic. They are a compassionate, caring, and professional team who really are committed to working alongside their clients for the best outcomes.

Dr Reza Noei has made some very strong statements against the profession of dental hygiene in a FaceBook group chat called “Canadian Dentistry Network”. He has also privately messaged under 2 fake accounts several hygienist’s threatening messages. He is quite disgruntled about the appropriate covid guidelines set out by the dental hygienist’s regulatory college CDHO, the defamatory statements he has made about hygienist’s and their college are unprofessional at best. This is no reflection on this practice owner.

Awesome visit! I have always had a great deal of anxiety associated with the Dentist from previous bad experiences. The team at Riverside Dental are very aware and do their best to make the experience as pleasant as possible. They remember who I am and my needs each visit. I no longer stress about my visits!

I have had extensive work done and have never dealt with more friendly and professional staff in my life. From the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave they cannot do enough for you. If you have fears if going to the dentist, please try Riverside dental and they go beyond their call of duty to make you comfortable. Thanks to the staff at Riverside I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and am now in the process of getting the required help.
