Services
To support, encourage and educate patients so they may be empowered with the confidence to achieve success and enjoy their lives. Our clinic was originally founded nearly 5 decades ago with the intention of providing excellent eye care to the surrounding area. In 2001, Dr. Shawn Moore purchased the extremely successful practice and set about making it his own without straying from the practice's core goals: superior eye care and customer service.
We determine your overall eye health through our comprehensive eye exams. We use the latest eye care technology in our detailed examinations, and we thoroughly explain our findings. You will receive recommendations based on your results in order to maintain the best vision possible for the long term.
Children often don't know how to describe their vision changes, and they may not even be aware that their vision is compromised. This makes regular eye exams very important for detecting vision-related problems. According to the Canadian Association of Optometrists, over 25 percent of school-age children experience vision problems.
Your eyes tell a story about your overall health. Routine eye exams ensure eye health and support the detection and control of conditions such as diabetes. The safest method for managing visual well-being in diabetes is with regular diabetic eye examinations. Our eye doctors test for a variety of eye diseases with increased risk for those with diabetes.
A lot of people who wear glasses are interested in exploring contact lenses because of their ease of use, appearance, and comfort. Most prescriptions can be adjusted for contact lenses, and most people can wear them comfortably. Lenses are available in a broad assortment of styles and materials, including moisturizing lenses, special lenses for astigmatism, and colored lenses.

We are just back from a visit to Orillia Optometry.
Once again, they knocked it out of the park, even during a pandemic!
From the minute we walked in the door, through the different stages of the experience, it was delightful. Dr. Shawn and his staff are warm, professional and funny.
Easily 5 stars or better.

Have gone to Dr.Moore a few times and have been very happy. He is professional, personable and knows what he's doing. However, I tried to make an appt for an eye exam and was told there are no appts until July...in 6 months. Got an appt elsewhere in 2 weeks. Not sure if it's Covid related but a half year wait is a bit "much". Disappointed for sure that I can't see my favourite dr but it is what it is I suppose.

I have to say Dr. Moore and the technicians, staff were wonderful, courteous and caring at my appointment. I am a senior and everyone answered any concerns that I had and helped me choose the appropriate new glasses. I have had to wear glasses since I was young, ~ Highly recommended by me! (aka Hedy) addendum: I was terribly disappointed this week when I had to bring in one of my two new pair of glasses I just got for a repair. Was told it was not 'repairable' and was not given any solutions nor options and sent away. I guess I will have to resort to 'duct taped' glasses.. *sadface…
