I'm always on the lookout for Italian sandwich places when I travel, so I was excited to try this one.

Big disappointment sadly. As others have mentioned, service was not friendly or welcoming.

I had the meatball sandwich, and I should have asked first if they are homemade or not, because it tastes like the frozen processed meatballs you get at the grocery store. This doesn't taste like a nice homemade sandwich by someone's Italian Nona, or even what you would expect from an Italian bakery.

Sandwich, pop, and tip $20. Way overpriced IMO. I will not go back.

Food was good but expensive. Service rotten. So unfriendly. My son said that is the 4th time he has been there and they are always so miserable. Not going back. Will go back to mollisana where the food and service are great!

Huge portions - so if volume is what you're after, then this is the place for you! I found it to be okay but definitely not excellent. I'd categorize the cuisine as "typical cafeteria quality" food. No doubt this place does very well in Newmarket but probably wouldn't survive in the downtown core where tastes are more discriminating and the quality of the competition is much higher. Final point about this eatery: You'd be naive to expect high quality Italian food from a place that's owned and operated by a non-Italian!

We were driving by Newmarket and to our surprise we saw this place behind the McDonalds-a great catch IMHO!

We came for lunch to have their sandwiches and no disappointment. We only had sandwiches and found the meat and bread very fresh and tastes great. Not " cheap" but definitely cheaper than flying to Italy to get this authentic sandwich.

Many other choices that we did not try this time so stay tuners for my updated reviews as I work my way through their menu!

Came here for a causal dinner with friends. The atmosphere was nice and causal. The place was clean and spacious. Staffs were friendly. My friend wanted to order some mussels. It wasn't on the menu but they accommodated. We also ordered cheese pizza, meat ball spaghetti, Alfredo pasta. Everything taste good. Their food are more of a traditional recipes which I don't mind. It's actually better for my kids because sometimes the 'modern' type of Italian is too complex or too much herbs and my kid doesn't like that. Overall great experience and will definitely come back

I came here on a cold day and this really hit the spot. Good portions, great cheese, and the hot sauce is awesome. It's the kind that adds flavor, and not just hot for hots sake.

This was a nice find.

I was finally able to try one of there famous sandwiches that I heard so much about. I was deciding between the veal sandwich or the eggplant parmigiana and I chose the eggplant. (My all time favourite Italian dish btw)

The place was very festive, warm and open concept. You can see the kitchen very clearly especially while they are making your sandwich. Lots of toppings to choose from, remind you each topping you choose will cost extra. The gentlemen was very nice and pleasant and acknowledged me coming in and leaving and he promised I will be back.

Let's be frank! Lol he was correct!

This is a really welcoming restaurant with great Italian food. The veal sandwiches are delicious- try the hot sauce that is on the hot bar. The marinated olives are THE BEST! Steak sandwiches, eggplant sandwiches- all so good! Owner and staff always make you feel welcome. Nice decor. Cappuccino is always perfect. Go with high expectations and you won't be disappointed!

I like the new renovated space, much more spacious. my family and I really enjoyed the steak sandwich and the veal sandwiches there, too good!

Although now they are starting to charge for each topping added, I really live coming to Frank's for food but at 35$ for 3 veal sandwiches plus 2 toppings each...it's kinda insane. I remembered before their renovations when the topping would be free.

It is good but at the price I am find another spot to satisfy my Italian craving.

Fresh buns, sandwich quality was good- had the veal sandwich , my wife had the eggplant. They don't come with any toppings at all though. Seriously, almost a buck for some onions on a sandwich??? That's pretty chintzy. Overall it's ok...about the same as San Francesco's or California's etc.

Good Italian hot table! In its newly renovated space, Let's be Frank has a nice ambiance.

Food quality is good. I had the Chicken Marsala with penne and an incredibly fresh bun. The chicken was tender and moist, and the mushrooms were top notch. The Marsala sauce was very mild in flavour and I had trouble sensing the flavour of Marsala.

The penne was nicely al dente, with a fresh tasting marinara sauce. I would have liked fresh Parmesan instead of the pre-powdered stuff.

Most of the entrees are $15, and the sandwiches are just under $8, and the servings are a good size. This price point

First things first the chicken Parmesan Sandwich is amazing. They have great toppings to add to your sandwiches and you should try the pasta as well. Not cheap but a great treat. They have recently been under renovations to expand and I can't wait until they reopen.

I guess this would be one of my first reviews where I kinda gotta do the bad news. I seriously was hoping that maybe the other reviews were maybe based on personal taste, but now I know better. The only positive I can say is that the prices were good, and the service was fast. But really.... it was borderline gross, and honestly I think due to the speed of his preparation of my food, it was also cold. AND I left without noticing he forgot my aroncini and had to rush out to catch me before I left in my car. I get home... everything is pretty gross.... I asked for a meat aroncini and I got a veg

If walking in and not being impressed enough to stay or even ask questions then this is a review. Sorry, not impressed. Seems like a limited selection of food and it didn't look appetizing to me. No one greeted me nor even smiled but did noticed that I had entered. Left and most likely will not return.

Have been there 3 times. First 2 times where good with lots of food, or wouldn't of been back.
3rd time the veal tasted funny and was tough, and both of us came down sick after only eating half each of our veal sandwiches.

First, let's be frank. This is not a sit down, table service restaurant as the website would have you believe. It is cafeteria style with steam table food. The menu prices on the site are wrong! I don't know if this is really meant to mislead or an error. Don't get me wrong the food tasted great. But, being steam table, the food was NOT hot and some pasta was dried out. When they asked if we wanted cheese on the veal and chicken parmesan, I was shocked. There are no desserts offered and the prices were high for this type of restaurant. Remember, the food was good tasting and if Frank
