When this place opened years ago, there was no doubt about quality and consistency however, over the last very short period of time, the food has declined drastically. Customer service is at an all time low and this last order wasn't complete. When we called multiple times to report the missing items, there was no answer and prior to picking up the order, the pick-up time was not honored and there was no recognition of extra wait time. Unfortunately the likelihood of our patronage is on an all-time low... extremely disappointed; especially when trying our best to support local business. Midland

Friendly service but I have been a long time customer of Pan Mai and I was not.impressed the last time with my food but I gave it a whirl again tonight, I orderd a chicken ball combo, a rib combo and a beef and broccoli.i got all the way home out on champlain to discover that there was no chicken ball combo instead it was a chow mein combo there was no sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour ribs in the combo.and when you try calling so you can go.and return your order and get it corrected they don't answer the phone it just rings off the hook or they pick it up and hang up on you. Not cool

I eat here 4-5x a week now. Fast and fresh made daily. Best food in midland or penatang!! Hands down. As a regular I often see people show up late then complain the food is cold. They mess up their orders and complain knowing the owner is fair and take advantage to get free food. They have never messed up my order or given me a wrong order or cold food. Unlike other reviews I don't promote my self as a reviwer. I don't take pay offs or give one stars cause i didn't get a free meal or item sold because I can write a review. But don't take my word for it. Try em today, best chicken balls ever. They

Planning a trip to the area in September. Pan Mai was an excellent place when Joe owned/ran it, heck I was eating Joe's food when he owned the Dynasty in Midland. Hoping the cantonese chow mein and the won ton soup are as good as they used to be. That's why I only gave 3 stars, I'll update once I've had a meal there again.

Extremely friendly service which is not to be under appreciated now a days. Also a very clean restaurant.
The food was really good. Lots of meat with less batter than most places which for us is great as we really enjoy sweet and sour chicken balls.
The portions were very good although a little high in price but your paying for quality.
We enjoyed our visit and hope everyone else will also!

I don't prefer eating outside, I am more of a "home food" guy, but when I choose to eat outside I make sure that I don't end up in a restaurant with bad food n poor service. So after scanning thru' few restaurants I came across Pan Mai (which I believe translates to “Good Food” in English) and gazed thru’ mixed reviews, most of them were positive. So I thought of having my dinner at this place. My friend and I ordered a couple of Combos and single dishes. And, Oh my god, the food was so amazing, especially the Veg Chow Mein.
