Tholos Restaurant
In ancient Greek architecture, the Tholos was a circular building with a conical or vaulted roof. Found in every Greek city, these structures served as senate buildings where politicians would meet to wine, dine, and discuss relevant matters. An example of this archetype which originated more than 8,000 km away can now be found in the Village at Blue Mountain.

Our restaurant offers a truly unique and exciting atmosphere for patrons in search of a more authentic experience. The romance of ancient Greece can be felt the moment one enters the room. A re-creation of a two-storey courtyard setting that lies between ancient Corinthian ruins encompasses our three intimate dining rooms.
Services
Tholos is the only Greek Mediterranean restaurant in the Village at Blue Mountain and surrounding area. Our unique two storey courtyard setting encompasses three intimate dining rooms accompanied by a large bar. With a total indoor and outdoor capacity of 470 people, they can accommodate both large and small groups alike.

Outside seating only (not their fault), no heat lamps or tent so freezing. Burger was a cheap commercial patty. Dry and nearly inedible. Falafel wrap had barely any meat in it. No wine list but ordered two glasses of generic cab/sauv. Bill was an astonishing $100. It used to be a good restaurant. Will not be going back again.

Service was good but they clearly have a captive audience. Grossly inflated prices for medicore food.
Loud. Hot Tables are really packed in close together.

This place was so great to visit. Every plate on my table looked awesome!! I would recommend you to try the Sagonaki to start and the lamb was to die for.
I was a bit disappointed they don't serve sangria on a regular basis but Cest la vie!
So give it a try!!

Came here for dinner with my partner during our trip to blue mountain. I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. The server and hosts were very nice and attentive. My partner and I shared the Greek salad, saganaki, grilled octopus and for entrees we got seafood linguine and beef souvlaki! Amazing and yummy food. I would say out of all the restos around here this was the best!!!

The place is nice, the mojito was not good, couldn’t taste the mint and was way too sweet, the seganaki tasted burned. Had the chicken souvlaki and beef souvlaki dinners, they were ok but not as good as other Greek restaurants. Maybe it was an off night.

I have to say ...tholos was very enjoyable. We didn't know if the restaurant was open or closed because it shown closed on Google maps but we are glad we tried it. The food was very good. Service was very good. Very minor complaint which is not really a big deal is would of been nice if the meat portion of the chicken souvlaki was bigger and the food to come out of the kitchen was faster. As well the olives were VERY salty so that could be fixed easy. Ingredients seemed fresh.! Bread was fantastic. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area.

I’m not sure how anyone can have a bad experience here. This review is unbiased and extremely genuine by the way. The food, vibe and staff are amazing! I’m very picky with where I eat and it’s VERY hard to please me. I’m one of those people that judge every restaurant lol, but Tholos is definitely my favourite restaurant now. This place will definitely make your date fall in love with you.
I hope people read this and actually give the restaurant a chance! I don’t recommend places that will make me look bad. My word is bond!

Considering the options in blue mountain this is probably one of the top places. Service was great and they have a variety of options
Portion size was kinda on the small size for the entre chicken soulvlaki considering the price. Veggies were green beans and carrots simply boiled- would of been nice to have a seasonal blend spiced up. Rice was kinda bland too
Calamari portion was generous and delicious as well as the cheeesecake baklava
Tried going on a Friday night at 9:15pm the night before and was told they were closed for both sit in and take out - considering this is a popular spot, surprised

Come here for the ambiance and vibes. I'm from Toronto so I've had amazing Greek food. Tholos didn't live up to that amazing standard and expectation I had. The bread appetizer is very heavy. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and most of my chicken pieces were undercooked/raw. I'm not a chef but I know how to cook, and I know what undercooked chicken looks like. I didn't send it back because I don't like confrontation but I couldn't eat the rest of my meal properly after that.

Delicious! I spent a few days at Blue Mountain so I had the chance to try the restaurants. I had to get the saganaki as an appetizer. The server brought it to our table, fired it up, and it was served with a side of bread, caramelized onions, and butter. The cheese was perfect!

Next we had chicken souvlaki. We had a choice of sides, but we went with lemon potatoes and vegetables (you could also choose between rice and fries). 10/10 would recommend this restaurant if you want some Greek for to satisfy your tastebuds.

Nice patio, Large sized chicken souvlaki comes with two sides. Meat is great quality but the sides are disappointing. Potatoes aren't Greek. Meals don't come with salads. They are a dd on.
Ceasar salad was perfect and delicious, diffentanly would order that over and over again. Didn't get a Greek salad and saved 2 dollars. 18 for Greek and 16 for Ceasar. Pricey restaurant. Fresh fish market. Whe we attended they served trout for 32. Chicken souvlaki is 29.

Pretty overpriced. There are better selections in the area. Food was good but overall a little disappointing considering the price. Their covid protocols were a little wanting as well. We ended up sitting only 6 feet from another couple. We would not hurry back.

Great place in Blue mountains resort !!
Our fist time in the area and wasn't sure were to eat but some nice guys we met in the hotel directed us here and it was a great choice.
The traditional salad (Horiatiki) we had was fantastic, I love Greek food especially the cheese and the block you get with this salad is large and really good.
I also had the saganaki, they bring it out and flame it up for you right at your table. A nice touch, very entertaining.
We enjoyed our meal so much that we ate here again the following night but I learned not to have the saganki with the salad because it

Beautiful patio! Pots of basil and vines of veggies around the area. Regular menu is a little pricey but when we went they had cheaper offerings on the menu. The angus burger and fries were $10! Really delicious well seasoned patty served on a ciabatta bun. Fries were fat and crispy. Server was attentive and quick to fill our ice waters. Great experience.

WAY overpriced for quality of food and portion sizes. The noise level was awful, couldn't here ourselves talk across the table. We had the 3 dips to start which were adequate. Small portion sizes and quality nowhere near as good as Greektown/Danforth in Toronto. The wine is a complete rip off, $18 for an 8 oz glass of a passable red. We each had the chicken souvlaki which was overcooked and dry, one skewer for $26. They have a captive market and are fully taking advantage of it. Very poor value. I will say the service was good but that's the only positive I can draw from it.

Was in Blue Mountain for the day and stumbled across Tholos so we decided to go in. Place was empty when we got there (around 1:30) which is a bit alarming but overall the experience was great. We ordered the dip trio, the Greek salad and then the lamb sliders. The dip trio came with a good amount of pita bread which we couldn’t finish and the greek salad was great. Lamb sliders were just a bit dry but still delicious. We couldn’t eat everything so had to take it to go as it was a lot of food. Bill came out to around $60 after tax which isn’t bad considering how much food we had.

Food was delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. A bit pricy but to be honest it is in line with everything else in the area. Even the Starbucks is more expensive than anywhere else.
Only thing that was just off was the Flamed cheese was a bit over done on one side. But still everything else was very tasty and fresh.

Kids meals were also great selection. Only issue was there was a lot of pepper for the burger and not good for a 1 year old but probably fine for anyone a bit older. Mom approved the task inside was great.

When in the area would recommend going. We will return

Greek food in a nice setting, but very over priced. For blue mountain I rate it a four but if it was anywhere else, three stars. Free warm bread was nice. We got the chicken souvlaki and mousaka. The chicken souvlaki was bland and the portions ok. However the sides of tomato beans and asparagus were good. The mousaka was delicious but dry.

Also service was very slow. So be aware if you are really hungry

I was excited to try this restaurant when I looked up the reviews. But nevertheless I was quite disappointed.

The service in the front desk was terrible. When I went in, there was a 30 minute wait. Which was reasonable as it was a busy weekend. So I asked the front staff if I can view the menu while we wait. So after viewing the menu and returning it we waited about 20 mins as a bunch of people that had reservations came in and had seats. Later a couple came in and wrote their names on a wait list. And I went up and asked the front girl why she didn't take my name when I was waiting for

Definitely not as rewarding as my last experience at this restaurant. The portions at dinner time seem smaller than at lunch, and with higher prices. Salads for 17 dollars that don't even come with a lot of greens (just a few micro greens) but are just some elements that would go on a salad on top of a plate. The mousaka was a little bit too salty and a tad burnt on the corners. Not a great effort to be honest. The best part of the meal was the saganaki.

The space is still very cool and welcoming. But I doubt I'd ever come back for dinner here but perhaps I'd still do lunch.

One of the better restaurants in Collingwood with really good food. It is pricier than others, but the portions and the quality is great. We were there with our friend Elena from Greece, so we were told what was best on the menu. Make sure to try the flaming Mousaka if you need to impress guests with a little flare. The scallops were amazing and perfectly cooked, actually the seafood was the standout of all the dishes.

I had the beef sirloin souvlaki, and it was delicious! Others had braised lamb shanks, chicken souvlaki, and my friend had the seafood pasta with a ton of large shrimp, nice piece

We were there last week and l found Tholos on Yelp.
We went there for our first dinner in blue mountains at around 5:30, and we didn't need to wait (Thursday evening).
We ordered the dishes recommended by lovely yelpers: 3 dips (eggplant, hummus, and the spicy feta, I liked the spicy one.
Hummus is not creamy (too dry) for me but I am no expert. I make creamer hummus.
Flambé cheese tasted amazing with the complimentary bread (and pickled onions), especially they lighted up at the table;
Octopus is must-try;
Lamb shank tasted amazing!
"Eggplant potato lasagna" was a little dry

FOOD:
We had come to this restaurant at around 8:30 pm on a Friday evening for dinner. I had settled on the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner ($26.00), with Potatoes & Roasted Vegetables, while my husband had settled on the Seafood Linguine Dinner ($30.00). First, we were given a basket of bread, along with butter and some caramelized onions. I really enjoyed the bread as it was soft on the inside, and crunchy on the outside, which is just the way I like it. I didn't though touch the caramelized onions as the smell was too strong for me.

In terms of the meal itself, I found that the chicken was

I came here for dinner a couple of weeks ago when visiting Blue Mountain. I believe our table was given bread and pearl onions to start. The pearl onions were absolutely amazing! I had the fried cheese as an appetizer with my table. It is an absolute MUST TRY! They light the flame right in front of you. I also had the cocktail "red carpet" and it was delicious. I had the seafood linguine, which was pretty good but honestly nothing too special. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tholos.

We came to Collingwood for a company event & had dinner scheduled here for our group. We were situated on the first floor of the restaurant which felt a bit crowded for 40 people. Appetizers were served but it took some time for dinner to start. I'm not sure if that's because our people were having too much fun having cocktails or what! LOL.

Anyway when we were finally seated, more appetizers came pretty quickly. Usually there's only one round of appetizers so I wasn't prepared for this. I got myself full on appetizers because I was so hungry as the dinner started late
