Services
On a rainy Vancouver day, stepping into Swiss Bakery is like stepping into the warmth of your Mother's kitchen. The smell of cinnamon buns fill the air, umbrellas pile up by the door and everyone jockeys for the best spot to eye up the day's offerings of sweets and sandwiches piled high in the display case.

I recently made a large order and was so impressed. They halloween baked goods were adorably presented and everything tasted great. My only complaint is that the gluten-free products weren't packaged separately, so there was a cross-contamination issue. Otherwise, excellent products and will definitely order again.

I was hoping to find some traditional German style pretzels. even showed up 15 min after opening (8:15am) to get some fresh soft pretzels. I was very disappointed when I got soggy old pretzels that had rubber like consistency and the salt was already melted. Those pretzels where definitely more than a day old. very disappointing

Worth every bit of the drive from anywhere in the Fraser Valley. Coffee, donuts, sandwiches, breads and more. Just got one delivered 70 km to my job site, so worth the wait!! I’d tell you to go early in the day but then you’d beat me there in the morning. Enjoy the experience.

Their frissants taste quite similar to Cronuts in New York. Was pleasantly surprised and would definitely visit again. Also their other pastries were delicious. They offer online pickup service which is convenient and saves you time. One thing I found inconvenient was the parking, but I feel this is out of the bakery’s control. Had to park pretty far due to no space. Would be interested in trying different frissants flavor in the future.

The best bakery in town! The frissant is to die for! Everyone who works there is also very friendly, accommodating, and kind. I go there every week and they have so many pastries to pick out. I highly recommend this place!

This is my absolute favourite bakery. The staff here are incredibly warm and welcoming. They have the best croissants in Vancouver. Want a life changing experience? Try their Vienna or Crusty French Loaf bread; it's absolutely perfect. The bread is light and airy with a perfect chewy crust that crisps beautifully when toasted.

I picked up a Swiss Bakery Pretzel and Pretzel Bun from Wholefoods, they are super yummy and I absolutely love them!! So much I have to make a trip to their bakey which I am sure is awesome.
They're great as a snack or even I used some Avocado, egg, spinach, tomatoes and cracked black pepper with chilli flakes to make the most epic Pretzel sandwich know to mankind!
Wholefoods themselves do a great Support network or selling local Vancouver-based business produce which is awesome!
Support your local businesses!

They gave me the wrong order. I didn't check because I was in a hurry, but my order was extremely straightforward. I don't know how they got it completely wrong.

Also, overpriced and underwhelming. Save your money and go to Purebread.

Edit: I also want to comment on just how bad their donuts are, because that's what they mistakenly gave me in my order. The donut was an oil-logged, soggy mess of a thing and it was absolutely disgusting. How dare they, in a place like Vancouver that has so many good donut places. If they can't even get a donut right, that's just pathetic

My husband told me about this little bakery off of Main St. I wouldn't have known about it if he didn't tell me. Though the bakery is tucked away it seems pretty busy, which I can understand because of all the different baked goodies they offer (Apple strudels, walnut oatmeal currant cookies, brownies, cakes, croissants and frissants).

Swiss Bakery is definitely protecting their staff members from COVID. They have set up a walk up concept with a sliding window and speaker so they can close the window and hear your order. They do have tape on the sidewalk to separate other patrons for

Reasonably priced and good quality pastries. I tried their pretzel croissant since I was craving something savoury. It definitely delivered on tasting like a pretzel. From appearance, it didn't look like much, but it had the perfect saltiness to it and wasn't too buttery. At $3.50, it was worth it. Last time I visited, my friend had their coffee and mini creme brulee croissant summer special combo. It was a good deal and the croissant was the perfect size. With a chantilly cream inside, it can be quite filling, so the mini portion was just right. My friend enjoyed it and would come back

First time we went to this bakery shop was in an afternoon, not much too choose from, almost out. Second time we were here again, love their double almond croissant, even though the filling is a bit too sweet for me. Was looking to buy their four cheese frissant, but wasn't in. They do change their frissant flavour each month.

COVID-19 DELIVERY REVIEW: During this time, I''ve found some joy in getting yummy goods delivered to my door. Swiss Bakery was offering 10% off and free delivery on orders over $25 (before tip), and they apparently have a product called "Frissants" which caught my eye. I decided to checkout their online ordering system and found it very user-friendly, and most products had pictures which helped a new customer like me figure out what to order.

I got the 2 flavors offered at the time, the Lemon Hisbiscus and the Strawberry Thyme ($4.50/each). They were both very good! But also

Came here after dropping by Beta 5 as they were sold out of all their cream puffs :(( Luckily, it meant that I now had more stomach space to sample treats from Swiss Bakery ! It was right before dinner but I got a whole massive box (twice the size of my head) of goodies to try.

Earl grey baby frissant (2/5)
This was kind of a fail considering all the rave reviews about their frissants. The pasty was oily and dense, not flaky and light. The cream was way too watery as well. I might give this another go, but the regular sized version instead. Hopefully it will be less of a disappointment.

Came here with my bf on an early Saturday morning during the Hot Chocolate event. We were the first customers to have ordered their hot chocolate specials and it was also their first time participating in the event so they weren't as prepared for it but nonetheless, we wanted to give it a try.

Drop (65% bittwersweet dark chocolate + roasted chestnut + cinnamon): This was absolutely delicious! I love the taste of chestnuts in general so to have it infused into a hot chocolate drink especially dark chocolate, what an interesting experience but tasty! The chestnuts were in a paste like form

One of the best places for pastries, sandwiches, wraps, and other baked goods. Ask for the sandwiches to be toasted and they are come out hot and crispy from the panini grill. Home if the cronut - a cross between a croissant and a deep fried donut. Also serves coffees. Outdoor seating is available and staff are friendly.

Came for the Frissants! A cross between a croissant and a donut. They had a pecan maple frissant as well as a 4 cheese. I would definitely recommend the sweet one. The four cheese was interesting but not what I was looking for.

The location is a bit odd. Not sure who they're catering to. Wish they were somewhere more accessibly local. I guess I don't really go to small streets but if there's good food, you know I'm there.

Frissants or aka Cronuts are the best. I don't know what about them that makes it better than donuts or croissants.

I got their seasonal frissant, the savoury version. It was topped with prosciutto and some grapes. The pastry was really good but something about the filling that threw me off. It tasted like whipped butter (I really hope not, I don't want to consuming

I was on the way to a bakery & coffee place, stumble upon this pastry on the same street.
Check that on Yelp, high hope on the frissant , order one Chocolat and one with prosciutto and a chocolate croissant. The normal croissant was not bad, but when I bite that frissant, I regret I order that. It was very oily. I might try other pastry but definitely stay away from it.

Affordable bakery with lots of options!

Came here after a workout and it really satisfied my sweet craving! I got a mini coconut frissant and it was flaky and buttery! It had Nutella filling and dried coconut flakes. I also had their London fog and it was okay. Would definitely come back for more!

Always a treat to check out the treats at the Swiss Bakery. I never leave without a reliable walnut/date bar.

The pastries are clearly made with an experienced hand - looking top notch. The donuts are the best. Crispy exteriors and soft interiors with the perfect amount of chew. Perfection!

Everything looks delicious here. The croissants were just gorgeous, as were the rest of the baked goods.

Would have been a 5 if not for the sandwiches. Pre-made, wrapped in plastic film. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was good, nice bun too but because it was pre-made the bread was a bit damp on the inside.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I'll be back I'm sure.

I had to check out what frissants were, and boy am I glad I did. This local fritter and croissant hybrid was amazing, a definite must-try.

I ordered a small honey lemon one, because I wanted a small taste before I commit myself to it. I would compare it to eating a cinnamon donut hole but much more softer on the inside. The outside was similar to a croissant.

You did well to satisfy my sweet tooth, but I'll have to order a regular one next time. I need to try the other flavours!

We’ve been coming here for years, all because of the “frissant” (or cronut), which is like a mix between a donut and croissant. They are incredibly delicious, as are the giant pretzels. For a limited time, they also have two delicious and decadent chocolate drinks (on top of the usual coffee based beverages. It’s a little tucked away, but well worth the trip.

I bought a couple of cronuts (frissants) and a chocolate croissant here. All of them tasted great! I went to this bakery before they closed at 6pm, so there was not much varieties remaining. I should have come in the morning.

I told a server there that it was my first time here. She introduced me what was good or very good. I thanked her help. When I drove by on the way to work in the morning, I saw people came here to buy a cup of coffee and some bread or pastries for breakfast. Usually the bread and pastries are more fresh and soft in the morning.

There is street parking in front of the bakery

Out of town guests? Ok, you need to try a Cronut. Except that term is now trademarked so we will partake of a "Frissant".

On the most recent visit the flavours were Key Lime (meringue on top and tangy custard inside) and Mango Apple Crunch (apple pie filling and spiced crumbs on top). I LOVE that you are able to buy mini-frissants. They are the perfect size for this gal's appetite.

My favourite item was not the most glamorous looking but boy did it bring the flavour! It was a 'granola' bar we grabbed from the top counter as an after-thought really. Sweet, soft
