The Papertown Inn hotel was built by Rene and Lorraine Raymond in the summer of 1979. The early business plans included 20 motel rooms, a 48 seat dining room, and a 24 seat lounge. From its first incarnation, the objective was to employ the community and be a stylish hub for tourists and locals.
The grand opening invited all to be a part of the community's new growth and achievements with rooms set for November of 1979 with a dining room and lounge to follow in January of 1980.The early 1980s saw business interest rates of 18% which proved to be challenging.

I stayed at the Papertown for a week. I felt at home as the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room I had was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff checked in me daily to see if I needed anything. The kitchen staff were accommodating to my specific allergies and prepared daily dishes to accommodate my diet. The administration are friendly, and took into consideration my age and gave me a room that was close to the front desk and restaurant. They made me feel at home. Thank you to all the staff and I would gladly stay there again. I recommend this hotel to anyone

Horrible rooms.
I was out here for work for 4 months and switched rooms weekly.
Almost every room had the cold and hot mixed up in bathroom. Only one had a working fan in bathroom. Half rooms didn't have a remote for the TV. Beds were horrible as were the pillows. Found food rappers, candy, socks, dead bugs and a pair of pants in different rooms. Half the doors don't close or are missing locks or peep holes on doors.

The Papertown is a solid small town hotel, that's only gotten better with the recent renovations!
I'm in the area relatively often for business, and always stay here. I've even stayed here when I have meetings in Lac du Bonnet (about 40mins away)!
Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple and definitely dated, but they're also clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you expect. Haven't used the pool, but it certainly looks like fun! Unlike many small hotels with pools, thankfully the chlorine smell doesn't make it into the rooms.
