Jessica is the daughter of Kim and the manager at Tangled Hair Design. Jessica thrives on excellent customer service and providing you with the best experience possible. She is available at the salon weekly for any questions or concerns! Kim is the owner of Tangled Hair design and has been a stylist for over 30 years!
She previously owned a salon in Ottawa for 15 year before moving to Carleton Place. Kim is not a fulltime stylist as she lives down south for the majority of the winter and returns to us during spring / summer time. I am really disappointed with my experience at this salon and am providing a review to hopefully help others looking for a salon in Carleton Place.
PROS: 1) The owner, who did my hair, achieved a really great colour of blonde - one I haven't been able to get at another salon and I’ve been a blonde for many, many years.
CONS: 1) The atmosphere was really awful. The owner bossed around the other girl to fold the towels, clean up hair, water the plants, sweep the cobwebs outside, get her more bleach - it was very unprofessional.
2) The owner was so unbelievably rushed through the 2 people before

I went in there on a Wednesday to book an appointment which was done for Thursday at 11.30 , when I showed up the place was closed 😡 I made a phone call and finally got an answer at noon the girl who answered informed me that my appointment was for Friday I do know that this is wrong as I was busy on Friday and wouldn’t have book an appointment for that day I’m not going back as this salon seems very disorganized!!

My daughter and I have been going to Jessica for over a year now and we absolutely love our color and hair cuts. I struggled for years with my daughter's very thick hair (she is now 13) and it wasn't until we went to Tangled that anyone suggested thinning it out. Now that they thin it out her hair is so manageable and smooth. My daughter also wanted to get her hair colored and Jessica suggested doing highlights in a beautiful warm blonde that totally complements her coloring. She gets complements on her hair everywhere she goes! My cut and color is always done beautifully and I never feel like

I am not impressed with this place. I made it clear that I did not want to pay over 50$ and when I went for my haircut, half way through she told me she could not thin it out because it was too wet and would go over budget, yet never told me before I sat down or washed my hair or else I would not have went through with the hair cut. Hair ended up coming to 60$ and the layers looked terrible because she refused to thin out my hair. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.
