After searching and reading reviews to find an affordable yet experienced salon, I found Carousel and called to make an appointment. I spoke with the owner, Steve, and knew after that he would do a good job. Very knowledgeable about hair. He was able to fit me in the following day and I left with a fabulous cut for only $50. Friendly and professional. I defintely recommend this hidden gem.

I have been looking for a new and permanent hairdresser for almost 3 years since my last hairdresser moved. I had tried cheap, expensive and everyone in between with no luck until Steve at Carousel. He listened carefully and turned my pandemic box colour self bang cutting mess into the best version of myself! I couldn't be happier!

I needed an up do for a wedding and was able to book an early morning appointment with Cathy. She was professional and really paid attention to the details. I have been coming here since my very first haircut at the age of 2, I can honestly say I never leave dissatisfied (I always leave loving my new hair). Over the years I’ve had streaks of purple, bangs, highlights, hair colouring and everything I could have ever asked for. Being able to finally come back after the lockdowns was amazing, such a kind and caring environment. Steve and the team at carousel are not only the best but they keep up to date with all the trends and all the needed COVID protocols. I can’t recommend a better hair salon!!!

I've been going to Carousel for 8 years now and Steve has always done a spectacular job every single time. I have never left unhappy with his service and doubt I ever will. They have the fairest price structure, best in the city for the quality of service. Steve, Jimmy, Cathy, and Maria deliver quick service as well, they just have so many years of experience and are all so talented. I always feel like I'm part of the family walking into their salon, it feels like I'm the most important person in the world here and that makes the experience that much better. I visited a month ago to do balayage. he ended up just bleaching my hair and did two different hair colour. he did a haircut that was not even on both side. I will never go there again. I didnt even ask for the money. they were very unprofessional.
Reply to your comments back. it shouldnt be any of your concerns when i take the issue up to show how i felt there when you damaged my hair. if you saying we fix things at no cost to to your clients. when you were aware that i wasnt happy and you didnt do what you were asked to do then why you force me to pay and come back so you can fix it. you charged

I desperately needed a color & trim, and these guys far exceeded my expectations.
I've usually had some unfortunate experiences at salons - so I always go in with uncertainty. But everything here was great! Color was exactly what I wanted (and it wasn't exactly the easiest color to do either), cut & style was equally amazing.
Will be coming here from now on.

A few friends recommended this place to me so I tried it out, and their service was fantastic! Although I wasn't able to get the stylist's name, he and Cathy did a wonderful job taking care of me and my hair. Since I am Korean and I never had my hair cut really short, my stylist did a great job explaining how to take care of it and answered all my questions. They both were great to talk to and I am grateful for how well they did. Please support local businesses and these kind people!

A month ago I made the bad decision to go to Chinatown to get banks, I haven't regret anything more in my life that doing that. Thankfully I found this Salon and got an appointment with Jim.
Since the minute I walked in to the last when I left I felt comfortable and happy, everyone was nice and polite.
Jimmy fixed my hair and make it look nice and pretty, he even gave me tips on what to do and I'll definitely will go back you to get a nice colouring next year.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would do it! From the moment I called, until the moment I left, everyone made me feel like I was at home. It had such a warm and comfy vibe and the stylist actually LISTENED to what I wanted. I've been getting lots of compliments on my hair and the best part? I feel confident again. The best, best part was that 'Uncle Jimmy' made sure I got to my car safely, since it was getting dark when I left. Steve was an incredible colourist and stylist and dare I say, I've never been happier with my colouring. The pics don't do it justice!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this salon. It was my first time there and the people, including my hairdresser, were really friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the price was reasonable. In fact, my hair cut was pretty good too. BUT, it was specifically NOT what I asked for!
Right off the bat, I told the hairdresser that I'm growing my hair for my wedding and I didn't want to lose a lot of length. She acted like she understood... but once you are in that chair, you don't know what is going on, and I ended up leaving the salon with at least 2 inches less hair.
