Violet Volovik has been a passionate stylist and colorist for 17 years, and was recently called the Houdini of hair colour in Toronto's NOW magazine. Violet is always getting involved in photo shoots, hair competitions and continuing her education traveling the globe for big shows and inspiration. Always ahead of the curve, Frank has spent over 15 years honing the craft of beautiful hair.

This was my first visit, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I have grey, thick and fairly course hair - not the easiest to deal with - but Derek took the time to understand both what I was looking for and what I’ve tried before.
He did an absolutely terrific job. I’d recommend him - and the salon in general (great booking, check in, COVID protocols, you name it) to anyone.

Everyone here is absolutely wonderful! My stylist took her time and did a thorough consultation. I’m really picky when it comes to my hair and she nailed my colour! She helped me with an at home hair care routine to help satisfy how picky I am with the integrity of my long blonde hair. 10/10 highly recommend.

Connor is incredible and what he does, and his passion shows in every cut, style or colour that he does. I love experimenting with new colour combinations, and being a master colourist, he nails it every time.… He chooses my hair for me now, and I've never been disappointed ever. I'm finally writing a review after seeing several similar comments matching my own experience. $300 is way too much to pay for the services received and the amount of time allotted to perform them. I agreed to highlights, strongly mentioning that I didn't want anything brassy. Orange is definitely brassy. I also didn't like having the highlights done consecutively with a root touch-up. Finish one job first. It really felt like a factory-line assembly in a race against time. The root touch-up on my dark colour was too light and also brassy, either wrong colour or not left on

Dont go. Over priced amd they destroyed my virgin hair. I asked for a few highlights and ended with orang hair 5 inch layers amd a $282 bill.
I told her i was trying to grow out my hair.
I am livid. Nothing that can be done now.
She was the owner named Violet.
Either an Arrogant space cadet or very bad con artist trying to trick people into going back to fix her mistakes at $282 a pop!!!!!

I have been going to Bob and Paige for nine years and always have a fabulous experience. Tony is the best for interpreting client requests and offering suggestioms that are a perfect fit for personality and lifestyle. When my schedule doesn't match with Tony's, I'm comfortable taking an appointment with any of the other stylists - they are all as equally highly talented. You will be in very safe hands. Terrific energy throughout the salon, and it's a neighbourhood gem.

This is a bit of an old review as I don't like giving good businesses bad reviews and figured my anger would subside but a year and a bit later I am still shocked at the service I received last time I went to Bob And Paige. I went in for colouring with Alisha/Alicia? because my friend and I wanted services at the same time and I let her work with Nicole who I had previously enjoyed haircuts with. Alisha was pretty abrupt in her consultation, and I very distinctly remember her telling me that the colour I wanted for my hair wouldn't look good with my skin colour. I can't say enough about how awesome this salon is and how much I love my stylist Crystal! She is so personable, she actually listens to what you're wanting, and she exceeds my expectations every time.
The salon itself is warm and inviting, you are offered drinks from water to cappuccino, it is very clean, and everyone working there are very friendly and passionate about what they do.
I recommend Crystal and this salon to everyone. You will not be disappointed.

The salon was super accommodating with my complaint (see photos for how bad it was), and within 48 hours I was booked in for a correction.
The stylist I had started blaming one of the assistants, telling me she saw him doing something to my hair she didn't like. If that's the case, why didn't she talk to him right then and there and take corrective action to rectify the situation?
At the end of the day, she went back in with brown lowlites to even out the colour. I wasn't happy still with the first round, so she went in again and the second time I was content enough to accept

Well, after almost 2 years in the city, I think I just found my new hair home. Had my first appointment yesterday with Connor. From the moment I arrived the entire customer service and attention to detail was outstanding and then the cut and colour was top notch too. Alas my new Toronto Keeper of The Tresses has been crowned.

I went to this salon just before the Christmas holiday. Essentially I walked out of the salon with the same hair I walked in with, and left $250 poorer. Really a disappointing experience which goes to show that paying more (and too much) doesn't mean better.
I wanted to lighten up my hair, but was told it would have to be gradual. I got partial highlights which made my hair orange-like then quickly faded back to original dark colour. Plus I asked for some long layers with my cut and got all one length. It's important for me to have a stylist and staff to do more listening than talking

I had an absolutely terrible dye job done at another salon which left me with damaged, bleached hair that was suppose to be red but turned out more peach than anything. Working on the Danforth, I became familiar with the wonderful work they did and decided if anyone could fix the mess on top of my head, it was them. I went in for a consultation and they booked me in a week later with Megan. She was absolutely delightful (as everyone was there) and did a killer job tending to my disaster. He seemed unsure on how to cut curly hair, and the result was a massive disappointment. He cut actress the curls and I am left with a limp and significantly lopsided mess. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested if a more senior/experienced stylist was available to fix I was told nothing was available until the new year. Also no apologies were given. Note: this was late November.
I will not return, and am sad I wasted $100

This salon is wonderful in every way. Everyone is relaxed and friendly. My cut and color always comes out amazing (thanks Frank). Best head massages. I just have nothing bad to say.
I have gone for years to a couple of salons in Yorkville, and Bob and Paige is way better. Hands down. One of my big fears is getting a bad cut. I never have to worry here. I just have to briefly mention what I want to achieve, and voila.
I would definitely recommend you give them a try.

The first time I visited this salon I was pretty happy with my experience. Nicole was friendly and professional and did a nice job with my hair (colour and cut). So I returned for a second visit and they for me in for a colour on short notice which I appreciate. Nicole did a good job, but apparently the salon was "short-staffed" (or overbooked by the looks of it) and after having my colour washed out I was given a brush and blow dryer and told I would have to blow dry my own hair. The girl was nice and apologetic about it but when I pay $120 for a colour and spend 2+ hours at a salon

I had an appointment with Alisha (junior stylist) with high expectations after all the reviews I read on bob&paige. I told her about my poor experiences and what I was looking to get done before I leave on my vacation (ombre from brown to blonde ends). She was a great listener but not the greatest doer. I ended up leaving with the same hair color I came in with except for an added color of brown on my bangs. The color of my hair didn't even change.
I expressed how disappointed I was multiple times and all she said was it will get lighter

My first time to the salon after losing my hair stylist. The service was great but I was so disappointed with my haircut. I'm 24 and felt like I was given a "mom" cut. I called and spoke to the manager and she told me to come and the same stylist would fix it up. I told her I was concerned my natural waves looked flat, it needed to be thinned out around my face and given some more shape. I thanked her so much for seeing me again and told her how much I appreciated it. She basically took five minutes to cut around my face and didn't bother to fix anything else.

I give bob + paige salon 5 stars for their exceptional service, and I give myself 1 star for being an awful client. I called bob + paige the day of, requesting for a haircut. They were extremely busy before the holiday season, but they were gracious enough to fit me in anyway.
