Services
Our services can be provided in an acute care hospital, long term care facility or in the home environment. As hospitals and healthcare facilities experience budget restraints, patients could be put at risk should there not be enough staff to provide care. Nursing Assessment is very important and is considered to be the first step in the process of individualized nursing or personal care.

Our community of baby boomers have now turned to the internet to find the information they need.
Nursing & Homemakers Inc. was founded in 1985 when I saw the need for supplemental nursing personnel in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and homecare in the community. Back then, I was employed as a nursing coordinator in a major teaching hospital in Toronto. There, I noticed a significant and critical gap in service immediately after patients were discharged from hospital; there was often no one at home to assist in their care.
Care for elderly clients recuperating from injuries, illness or surgery, chronic debilitating conditions, or those that simply need help with activities of daily living, nursing care, supervision, personal care and/or home-making services. Care for newborns, children and physically challenged children.
Our goal is to place highly qualified personnel in a satisfying work environment that will lead to challenging new opportunities. Dental hygienists provide dental hygiene treatment and information related to the prevention of diseases and disorders of the teeth and mouth. Level II Assistants demonstrate various clinical skills while adhering to the ODAA code of ethics.

I work for NHI as a nurse and have for the past five years and I have found the Agency to be excellent. All the coordinators always try to meet my needs, as I am a single mom with two small children. The CEO has been excellent at trying to help me with many matters that are of a personal nature and I can say that she has been very supportive, kind, generous and a good listener. We had one of our best health care experiences with a very kind and experienced nurse from this agency. She was responsive, always on time and I felt secure leaving my cousin in her care. The director of the agency was also very sensitive and responsive to our requests and I would definitely use this agency again. I highly recommend them.

It has been an honour to work at NHI for the past 8 years . I started out as a PSW and a single mom with 2 young children. With the encouragement of the management team and especially the CEO today I am a university graduate and I will be writing my Registered Nursing exams over the next couple of months. I want to thank everyone at NHI for their support and for the kindness that they have shown me. The clients that i have looked after have nothing but praises for the organization and its leadership. We were able to contact NHI to help us with one of our clients who required someone to accompany her to the doctor for a scheduled appointment. This client was in a wheelchair and was on the mend for hip surgery and needed assistance with her personal care. The NHI nurse made the client feel very comfortable and safe . We also found their cost to be very reasonable. We would highly recommend this Agency .

I highly recommend NHI for caregiver support. My mother was a patient in a Toronto Hospital and I needed some extra care for her as she recovered from hip surgery. I had to go to work and so I could not take the time off to spend with her as I would like to. NHI was recommended to call for additional support. The service was exceptional, the nurse was very professional , knowledgeable and understanding and she helped mom a lot . We decided to have her with mom for two weeks, until mom was discharged home. Mom recovered beautifully. The management at NHI was very professional and were excellent
