The staff at Canyon Dental Centre are the most friendliest, caring people I have ever experienced at a dental office. Dr. van As listens to your concerns and then thoroughly explains what he can do or recommend you do for your particular dental issues. There is a reason Dental Canyon has been our dental provider for twenty years. First, Dr. van As does put his patients first, besides using the latest technology, in comfortable private booths, and a friendly atmosphere. Then, when I recently had an emergency—chipping a front tooth IS an emergency (!)—and despite his fully booked schedule, he took care of it. Why would I want to go anywhere else?

When I was 16, I went to Dr. van As to inquire about braces. I had very crowded teeth with an overbite. It had always bothered me my whole life and I was teased at school because of it. My parents didn’t have the money to pay for braces so my grandmother helped with the cost. I went in for my consultation and upon inspecting my teeth, Dr. van As preceded to say things like “it must be hard for you to eat apples” and “if you had your jaw broken, we could reset it in a way where you would have a more pronounced jaw line”. Excellent experience here, very friendly staff and Dr. Glenn van As was just great. Very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to talk with us about our daughter’s frenectomy and was so calm and friendly, not at all rushed. We also appreciate the extra-precision he is able to offer by using the microscope for the procedure. Highly recommend.

We have been patients at Canyon Dental Centre for a few years now. The entire office staff, dental hygienists, & dentists are all well-acquainted with every member of our household. They are genuine and show interest in our dental health. As a parent, I love how they take the time to educate and encourage the youngsters of our family to take better care of their dental hygiene (advice from parents seem to go on deaf ears). The environment is extremely clean and we feel very safe. I love their reminder system as well.

I just moved to the North Vancouver area and was looking for a Practice for my partner and me. I was referred to Canyon Dental Centre by a couple of colleagues.
I was scheduled in for a new patient exam with Dr. Glenn. I've never had a thorough exam like this before. The technology was next level - he used a microscope which displayed what he was seeing on the screen above my chair - and he explained everything he was seeing - things of concern, and what was going well.
After the exam, I had a visit with the hygienist, Mira. She was amazing. Educational throughout, and also used the microscope
