The Patterson Family arrived in Canada from Ireland in 1884. Worked in Hull, Quebec and surrounding area on farms until 1890 when Gib's Grandparents purchased 30 acres of garden land on Hunt Club Road, west of Bank Street where the new Airport Parkway and Hunt Club Road intersect. Buildings were erected and mixed farming commenced to provide fresh food for the people of the City of Ottawa.
Gib's father was born at the brick farm house in 1900 and later married Myrtle McKeown from Edwards, Ontario. While farming on Hunt Club Road, near the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club and the airport, an appreciation for people, neighbours, work, and family developed Gib's idea to provide opportunities for others.

I am new at playing good so this review is based on a novice golfer impressions.
I played the West 9 and South 9 as an 18 holes course and really enjoyed it. The holes are well designed with interesting sand and water hazards, hills and mature trees. I rented a cart but next time I think I will really the course as it is quite enjoyable. The staff is very nice and professional and I even got service in French. I will go back for sure!

Below to average course. Won’t be making it part of my usual routine courses. Greens were awesome which saved it from being a 2 star. Layout isn’t great. Every whole feels the same and the biggest thing you couldn’t tell where the fairway started and ended. Burnt and hard. Still had a good time with great people whoever won’t be going back anytime soon.
Update. Better shape in august and price went down.

Payed quite a bit of money to enjoy a game of golf here with family for a late Father's day gift. We are all average golfers. We were given constant dirty looks for pace of play from the group behind us and had multiple rude and disrespectful encounters with the Marshall. There was no valid reason for any of it. We finished the 18 holes 30 minutes faster than the pace they wanted us at and we're still treated with disrespect on the course.
Manager was very nice in the proshop after having explained the situation but that was no way to be treated on the course.
Safe to say we will all be playing
