Yoga North
YOGA NORTH is a nationally-recognized Iyengar Yoga Centre. Our teachers are members of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada (IYAC) and our Teacher Training Program is designed to enable participants to become certified Iyengar teachers through IYAC. Yoga North is owned and operated as a partnership by Drew Perry, Janine Gobeil, Andrea Erb and Regan Tataryn.

People decide to take up yoga for different reasons. Some students are looking strictly for physical benefits to improve their overall well-being or to help them advance in a specific sport and some come for relaxation and restoration of the mind to improve sleep, reduce anxiety and stress. At Yoga North we offer a variety of classes to suit your needs.
Services
A gentler yoga class at a slower pace to develop greater flexibility, balance, strength, and much more ease in their bodies. Practiced correctly, yoga can help ease the discomfort of arthritis and the general aches and pains of aging. The Healthy Backs class will focus on practices that improve the health of the spine, the lower & upper back, the neck, shoulders and everything in between.
Yoga is a practical and experiential science, art and philosophy. Regan Tataryn is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Level 2 and a Mentor for apprenticing Iyengar Yoga trainees for Level 1. Each month we will start with a basic practice which will focus on different classes of asanas, will allow for exploration of different sequencing and timing as well as different approaches to prop usage.
Yoga North carries what you need to deepen your study of yoga and support a home practice. If you would like to purchase some products, please email us with your requests at info@yoganorthwinnipeg.ca and we can make an appointment for pick-ups. On-demand classes are Zoom recordings of each class on our current schedule, available for you to access anytime, anywhere, when it's convenient for you.
Yoga North encourages the development of a home/personal practice to complement regular classes. Classes can help you learn the correct way to do the poses, the right sequencing of the poses, and specific actions to take in the poses. However, yoga is ultimately a personal experience that can best be fostered in your own home practice.
