Came by to try out their custard tarts and was not disappointed. They were the sweetest tarts I've had and I've tried many from different parts of the world :)

I had a few other pastries that were ok but will head back when I get a Portuguese custard tart craving :)

Yummy, great chicken...would've appreciated if there's veggies (rice and potatoes as sides only) and no $.50 charge for hot sauce but the flavors are there which is the most important. I live in downsview (was on my way to get my hair done) but I'll be back.

Every time we've been here it smells great but the service is horrible. Ordered two sandwiches to go, one was so soggy it was not edible. Also took forever to get through the line. With a little effort this place has great potential. Prices are much higher than they should be. Nova Era offers the same quality food at a much lower price.

A great place for something different! An authentic Portuguese restaurant. The food and menu are European, and great! The chicken and other roasted meats are their speciality. The bakery produces authentic Portuguese bread and desserts. The bread unfortunately is always sold out! People order it in advance because it is so good. The desserts are to die for! Some you have never heard of like bean tarts. All are great and the price is fair.
They also host soccer parties in season with large screen projectors and bleachers. A fun place to eat, or shop for European delicacies.

This is our go-to place in the neighbourhood. Most people go there for the charcoal grill chicken. Besides that, it also got great daily hot dishes. I really enjoy their home-made chicken soup and fish dishes. Those round potatoes are my favourite. The atmosphere got a great neighbourly feel. It's clean and got lots of windows. Always a fun time when football is on. And you can't walk away without having the beer tart!

The fried fish a beyond amazing! We catered food from here in July and Wer pleasantly surprised with the quality, taste and portions. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The Portuguese potatoes were fantastic, both same day and next. The fish filets were a hit for all, even non-fish lovers. The portion was reasonable for $3 piece. The roasted chickens were on the dry side, however--- but still tasty with the spicy sauce drizzled on top. Will be ordering from here again soon!!

I probably need to return and adjust my rating.

Last Sunday, I had a craving for Portuguese custard tarts. I decided to give this place a shot at around 5 pm.

There is plenty of parking. It feels like a small town in this shopping district. I parked and went inside.

To my right were the pastries and desserts. Sadly, there were no custard tarts. I was disappointed. I love custard tarts so much.

I went to the hot food items on the left. I went with beef stew, which looked appetizing.

Although I could have eaten dinner there, I went with takeout and brought the stew back to my hotel.

Delicious chicken and some great deals. I'd eat their chicken as often as i could, but it ends up at around once a month. The baked goods are also fantastic with great breads that map seasonally onto holidays and sweets that remind me of the sweets in Astoria New York that I used to hang out at (it was famous for making the cake for the movie Big Fat Greek Wedding. However, this place isn't famous for wedding cakes or other sweets, but it should be.

I walked in here because I heard there was free wifi. I decided to try out their latte and quarter chicken too. Both were pretty decent but nothing spectacular especially considering the price, which was a bit higher than I expected. I got mild sauce on the white meat quarter chicken and it tasted a bit dry and like something I could've easily made at home. The onion rings and veggies were okay too. All in all average food at above average prices (for a cafe-style diner).

Stopped in to check this place out today as we were in Kitchener. Since we had already had lunch and it was around 4 pm we ordered the Galao coffee. I had a strawberry cheesecake (NOT made here - bought in) and my partner had the coconut tart (actually more like a muffin or cupcake). The Galao is nothing special. It's a simple Latte - on a par with MacDonald's or Williams Coffee Pub but twice the price. My cheesecake was overwhelmingly sweet to the point where I couldn't eat it. The coconut pastry was heavy as lead, dense, and had little to no flavour even though there was

Just had the chicken parmigiana sandwich on a fresh Portuguese bun. I took half home because the serving was do huge, but did not want to put it down. The sandwich alone costs 8.95$, plus 4.00$ more for veggies. I was in flavour country. Nice place for a lunch date with friends.

Food is really good, but sometimes one of the waitresses (same one every time) "kills" our good experience there. The rest of the staff are great, this particular girl is always forgetting/not paying attention/messing up the order.

In a strip mall... like many neighborhood secretly good eateries. We stopped by out of sheer curiosity in hopes to find good Portuguese bread. We were happy to find some great tasting sweets. The humble seats were full and their chicken looked good.. I will have to try it next time we pass by.

This place is great and I'm so happy to have it in the neighbourhood. The pastel de nata is great and I look forward to trying more things.

Update: Had the chicken! It was great!

Are you looking for quality Portuguese cuisine?

At Lisboa Bakery and Grill you can get all that and more, with the famous Piri-Piri Chicken made fresh every day (you can often see the chicken spinning on the open flame when you walk in the place - and it smells delicious).

There is also a full cafe service, including the Galao (pronounced Gal-Own), a Portuguese specialty hot drink made with espresso and foamed milk, as well as the Pastel De Nata (a Portuguese egg tart pastry) and other Portuguese baked goods.

Although take out and catering is very popular here, there is table service and the
