UV gel nails are artificial extensions worn on the fingertips as an alternative to acrylics. They use ultraviolet light to cure the gel during the application process. Clients can decorate a set according to their tastes and achieve a natural look. A big reason people like to wear UV gel nails is because they look more natural than acrylics.
Mint Nails & Spa Lounge skin care specialists offer hair removal waxing, and tinting options for the face and entire body. Waxing is technique used to remove unwanted hair by removing the hair follicle from the root. Wax is hot and applied on the skin in the direction of the hair growth, then removed with a strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
Eyelash Extensions enhances the length, thickness and fullness to natural eyelashes. The extensions may consist of silk, mink, or synthetic hair. Eyelash extensions are glued individually (classic) or in numbers of 2-6 (volume) on top of your natural lash with stronger adhesives capable of lasting until your natural eyelash naturally falls out.

I have been going to Mint Nail Lounge for nearly 4 years and it has been overall, a great experience. I will say some nail techs are not my favorite. I typically only do a shellac polish application on my natural nails, and Jess V & Lina L are by far the best at that service.
I do wish the website listed ALL of their prices and services. The salon provides clients with a physical brochure that includes all services and prices ... Maybe add that same brochure online for people who are curious about trying the salon out.

Unfortunately I have to change my review from 5 stars to 2 stars.
While the place is still super clean and decorated with taste (not kitshy) the waxing I had done recently was beyond atrocious and painful.
If a girl specializes in eye lashes and can’t do fast, efficient waxing she shouldn’t be doing it. 2.5 hours for what normally takes 1 hour. Not only did the delay interfere with my other plans but the pain that came from the little strips and the wax knots was brutal.
Won’t be going back.

I have been going to Mint Nails now for over 4 years. I have always found them to be courteous, efficient and accommodating. Lisa is my person! She is friendly, professional and personable and I highly recommend her. We have the greatest conversations and she always remembers how particular I am. I have tried many nail spas and by far Mint Nails is the best. They are stuck with me!

The best nail salon in Calgary! Tina is awesome! I hadn’t had acrylics in a very long time and she helped me choose the most amazing ombré tips! The best part was the experience. We laughed like we knew each other for ages! What a fun experience! Jessie explained to me all the different types of nails which was awesome!

Such a great place! This was my third visit and I have yet to be let down. Jess did such an amazing job on my nails! Everyone is so nice and friendly and if I have an idea of a design they help me select the colours needed to bring it to life. They have all the covid protocols in place so you feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend coming here, you will not be disappointed!

When I walked in everyone working just stared at me like I was lost, I didn't want to walk up to someone immediately because I wasn't sure if the protocol for covid... there isn't any. The techs and receptionist talked about me in front of me like I wasn't there and it felt very rushed and impersonal. My shellac manicure is chipped after three days and my skin is peeling and red from my cuticle "trim". That was my first and last time going to Mint. It took me a bit of courage to go there because of some bad reviews, but I was totally hooked after my first time. I love the place! The most important thing for me -hygiene- was top notch! I see new packages opened just for me, properly prepped and disinfected. I can come with short broken nails, sometimes cracked all way though ( due to my job specks)and leave with beautiful manicure. Very impressed! The salon atmosphere is nice too, big TV and cool chairs. My favourite finding of 2020!

Had a wonderful experience with Ada at the Edgemont location. She was very friendly and had great recommendations for nails. I did shellac for my wedding day, and although the photos I showed her were for gel nails, she was able to replicate exactly what I wanted. She also paid close attention to detail, always fixing any mistakes that showed up along the way. Definitely will return again in the future.

I have been going to this place for a while and Hannah does my nails 90% of the time and she always does a wonderful job!! The few times that she hasn't done my nails, I was not super satisfied with the quality as the shape was super uneven and the polish colour was also uneven at the edges. The interior is also very clean and comfortable!!

I've been coming here for about 8 months, and this is the second disappointing set of nails i've had in a row. too overpriced for the work. had to wait an additional 20 minutes on top of what the appointment was made for. got 2 marble nails the lady saying the ink would come off in 2 washes and is currently still sitting on my finger 24 hours after. when dremeling the nails down she put to much pressure resulting in it being very painful and hot. my nails are bumpy and uneven in length and thickness. overall i was there two hours and very unsatisfied with my nails. when she painted my nails she

It ended up being one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had getting my nails done. I have been getting my nails done every 3 weeks for over 10 years, so I know a thing or two about the process of getting gel nails. I've also learned a lot from the salon I go to in Edmonton, as they are a boutique salon with training from a lot of the big nail suppliers such as Bio Seaweed and Ugly Duckling.

I was completely unimpressed with the pedicure. The service felt very rushed as it was completed in 30 min. I did not receive a foot rub with the service and my nails were not trimmed well. Some of them were left longer while others were cut short and uneven. After 2 weeks, the polish is looking tired and lacklustre. It is too bad as I had high hopes for this salon. Prices were right, salon is well kept however my service lacked in quality.

I had a regular mani and pedi done here. I was impressed with the beautiful salon and service. It was very hygienic and I loved the hot stone leg massage! Lots of nail colours to choose from as well. My nail tech Annie was kind, conscientious, and did a great job.
I was paying the same price at my old salon for a very ordinary experience and long wait due to minimal staffing. Will be going back here and highly recommend Mint!

I have been going to Mint for at least 7 months now for regular manicures and pedicures and I have been satisfied everytime.
There were 2 ocassions where I they pushed/cleaned my cuticle was too much and it started bleeding. It wasn't too bad and person working on my nails sincerely apologized - so I'm totally fine with it. And to be honest my skin and nails are kind of fragile and thin so I can see it happening if you go too far with the cuticle push/clipping(sorry for the wrong nail jargon as my knowledge with nail stuff is quite limited).
I give them 5 stars because I really enjoy

I would have given them 1 Star, but the place itself is beautiful and clean and the girl that worked on me was kind and gave a good massage. Now for the rest. I was about 15min early for my appointment, I stood for 6min at the reception table waiting for the receptionist to get off her cellphone which was a very personal call and not work related at all. During this time the business phone rang and she still couldn't be bothered to get off her cellphone. I've been going to Mint just over a year now for lash extensions, and I'm hooked! Sam does an amazing job every time I go. Her attention to detail, efficiency and the fact that she takes pride in her work is what keeps me coming back. We'll chat for the duration of my appointment so the time just flies by!

Wow! This place is amazing! Christina did a great job on my shellac manicure. Good products and a lots of choice for colours.
The salon is very clean. Very cool! The service was amazing too and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would recommended Mint Nail Salon to anyone, and I'll definitely be a return customer!
