Anne Smithson Counselling Services is located in the Ridgeway/Crystal Beach Area of Southern Ontario, servicing residents of the Niagara Region. Client visits take place in a relaxed, private office setting or we provide the unique service of seeing clients in the comfort of their own home. To assist clients to find new skills to achieve solutions to daily challenges in a respectful, confidential and comfortable environment.
We work with each person guiding and supporting them in a way that leads to insight, growth and desired change. You can expect to be asked a variety of questions about the problems you are experiencing. You may be asked to complete some self reporting questionnaires. Every effort will be made to see you as soon as possible.

Services
Anne is a regulated health professional and an active member of the College of Nurses, Registered Nurses Association of Ontario and Independent Practise Nurses. Anne has worked in the Niagara Region for over 30 years.
Her experience includes crisis intervention, in-patient Psychiatry, home visits providing assessments and support to those with mental health conditions, individual therapy, group therapy to individuals using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach to care.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of structured therapy aimed at giving people tools to identify and solve their problems and reduce anxiety. It is aimed at changing the negative thinking patterns that people adopt that make it difficult to change behaviour and diminish dysfunctional emotions.
My experience with Anne was truly life changing.
