For two generations, Perry House Child Care Services has provided a home-away-from-home for children between the ages of 2 weeks to 12 years of age. Established in 1976, Perry House has had an enduring presence in downtown Whitby. Even before its current use as a childcare service provider, our main house at 129 Perry Street has a long history in the community stretching back over 120 years.
The building is listed on the Town of Whitby Official Heritage Register - Inventory of Listed Properties. A look back into the history of the building and the people who lived here reveals that our 'House' has long been a place of care. Born at Todmorden Mills, Toronto, Dr. Eastwood was a long-serving physician in the Whitby community.

Services
At Perry House we believe that children are naturally curious, capable, hands on learners. Children learn best when they are interested in a particular topic, something that is personally meaningful to them. Our staff will build upon each interest and together with the children embark on a journey filled with inquisition and investigation.
At Perry House, we believe that each child is special, with individual likes, needs and skills. Our caring, professional teachers will provide the children with age appropriate learning opportunities for exploration and discovery in their daily environment. The staff will enhance each child's self-esteem and their physical, social and cognitive development.
Perry House Child Care Services provides quality care for children from two weeks to 12 years of age. Perry House Child Care Services offers a warm and nurturing infant program that is flexible and accommodating to the individual needs of every child. Program activities are age appropriate and provide stimulation for enhancement in all developmental areas.
Our before and after school program runs throughout the school year (from September to June) for the Junior and Senior Kindergarten and School Age children. The children arrive at Perry House in the morning and are bussed to school by our own bus drivers in our very own buses! In the afternoon the children are picked up from school by our busses and brought back to Perry House until they leave for home.
Every July and August when school-age children are on their summer break, Perry House Child Care Services offers a unique summer program. The summer program also includes many trips to fun and exciting places like the Toronto Zoo, Canada's Wonderland, NEB's Funworld, Sky Zone, Laser Quest Whitby, Putting Edge, and many, many more!
