I registered my nephew, Zayn. He had an amazing time with the staff and children. He was being treated as if it was is home. He had a fabulous time and enjoy each second of it. He was fed well and taught so many lessons. This daycare is highly recommended.

I have worked at both of The Elephant Room Daycare facilities located in the Durham Region for many years now, If you are looking for a professional atmosphere that focuses on the upmost care of your children’s early development than this is the place for you. There is strong focus on the all so important early socialization of your children along with teaching them creativity through a wide variety of arts and crafts and also providing them with healthy choice meals on a daily basis. My son has been attending the Elephant Room for about 2 1/2 years now, & my 8 year old has been doing the Summer Camp Program this year. I Have not had one negative issue with any staff or my sons telling me anything. They have always looked out for their best interests & my 3 year old absolutely loves his teachers hes had through the years. My oldest has had such a wicked experience going on all sorts of excursions the last few weeks. I have recommended the daycare to people & they have also loved it since their childs been attending!

I am extremely floored that I am seeing 5 star reviews . I am 1,000,000% convinced the owner is paying people for 5 star reviews . And if not , it’s only for the honest hard working employees that she has treated terribly .
My wife worked at this dump for more than a year, the anxiety and self esteem issues she encountered while working for this owner is not acceptable . I’ve heard all the horror stories … please if anyone is thinking about sending their loved ones here DO NOT ! It’s all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Not about the kids . What you see , is not what you get !

Just like many other reviewers have mentioned - ownership will do and say anything and even lie to get your money as that's all she cares about.
Jamie promised that my daughter could switch into part-time daycare after "integrating" for a few weeks in "full-time." Her words - not mine. After paying the deposit and signing the contract she is now saying that they do not offer part-time at all and will not give my deposit back despite not providing the service she promised.
This was my first experience with signing up for childcare - I did not expect to encounter a person who would say anything

I have had the most amazing experience working at The Elephant Room. Jamie (the owner) is always looking out for the best interest of the children and families enrolled. She regularly updates classroom supplies and makes sure to find toys that the children are currently interested in. While also checking on the teachers to make sure they are looked after and happy. It is such a positive learning environment, I look forward to seeing the staff and students every day.

I’ve worked at a few different daycare centres where it’s very obvious that the goal of the centre is to make money. That is not this centre at all. Jamie genuinely cares for each and every child that comes through this door and I’ve never seen someone go so out of their way to be accommodating to each and every child and their needs. If you want your child to be cared about and well taken care of I highly recommend this daycare centre. It’s by far the best I’ve ever worked at.

I absolutely love working at The Elephant Room DayCare!!! My team is amazing to work with especially Jamie, she has the biggest heart I know! You can tell how much she loves and respects the parents and children and her staff too! She treats all of us with respect and is so understanding. She goes out of her way to make sure all her staff, children and parents are feeling comfortable. She plans a lot of fun things for the children and parents and they just adore her! I would definitely recommend this Daycare to parents and or anyone looking for employment!
