Established for over 10 yrs, Creswell Dance Academy is one of the best dance schools in The Beaches, Toronto. CDA offers a wide variety of dance classes, a successful competition program, and the opportunity to gain certification with Royal Academy Dance. Our programs are dedicated to the growth and fostering of dance as an art form and being a vital part of a healthy lifestyle.

In 2007 Lea Creswell opened the doors of Creswell Dance Academy (CDA) with a mission to instill respect and love for the grand tradition of dance and theatre in all her students. Starting with only 7 students in September she ended her first season with 37 students as word spread through The Beaches.
Dance promotes physical strength and agility, boosts concentration, develops an understanding of music and rhythm and generates a love of movement. Whatever form of dance your child is interested in we offer a warm, welcoming environment where our highly trained, professional instructors encourage the students to improve their technique every class.
Ms Lea and her fabulous team of dance teachers and office staff are warm, welcoming and always smiling! They have created a positive learning environment where kids of all ages feel supported, encouraged and able to do anything! Lea Creswell and her staff inspire students to strive for excellence and to be the best version of themselves everyday.
Ballet promotes physical strength and agility, can boost concentration, develops an understanding of music and rhythm and generates a love of movement. Help your child find their passion for dance with our pre-ballet classes. Whether they love ballet and tutus, singing, tapping their feet or grooving to the music we have a class them find expression through dance, song, and movement.
Jazz is a fun, upbeat class with emphasis on coordination, rhythm, body isolations and flexibility. The warm-up and progressions will use classic jazz technique to develop students' musicality, athleticism, alignment, and performance. Classes emphasize musicality and body alignment, conditioning, stretch and strengthening, rhythm and stylization as well as fun and innovative choreography.

I cannot say enough good things about Creswell Dance Academy. We have been with them for a few years now and they have always made us feel welcome, communicated effectively and went above and beyond to make sure my daughter (and all the dancers) had the best experience possible during the pandemic.
Lea and the entire staff are well trained, outstanding dancers and very invested in training the next generations. You cannot find a more professional dance studio and it's in the neighbourhood as well!

Everyone involved in the Creswell team treats you like their friend & family. They are the most positive, patient, accommodating community we have had the pleasure of being a part of. Our daughter asks every day if today is dance day. We have never had to 'convince' her to participate, she just loves it.
Creswell masters the perfect balance of nurturing the child while challenging their athleticism and recognizing their strengths. Being a part of their programming both in real life and virtually through parts of covid has done so much for my daughter's confidence - not to mention a joyful highlight

Our five year old daughter joined the Creswell team for a one-week summer dance camp and had an absolutely wonderful time. She was excited to go back each day and came home with lots of stories to share -- new dance moves, details about her day, and crafts that she had created in the afternoon. As a parent, I was very impressed by the clarity, timeliness, and friendliness in all of their communications (kudos here to Jenn!) and they adhered to all Covid safety protocols. And did I mention the parking? Their new location at Kingston Road and Victoria Park has ample parking -- they get an extra star
