Once checked in with reception, one of our registered veterinary technicians will see you into the examination room and we'll ask a few questions and measure your pet's vital signs - just like when you go for a visit to your family doctor! A veterinarian will then meet you, ask a few more questions about your pet's health, examine your pet, talk about any questions or concerns you may have and plan further diagnostics or treatment as needed.

All medical cases occuring after hours are referred here as are patients requiring critical monitoring overnight or over the weekend. VECYR can be found at 1210 Journey's End Drive in Newmarket, just off Harry Walker Parkway, north of Davis Drive.

This vet is wonderful! We always bring Apollo, our border collie there, and they are always so good to him. Staff is super friendly every time they are good people! Apollo is scared of going, but they always are so kind and loving towards him. Highly recommend this vet.

This clinic is full of friendly staff who truly care about your furry companion. After all our appointments, they have followed up via email or phone call to ensure my furbaby is doing well and are there to answer any questions I may have happily. My family has brought all sorts of pets here over the years, and I would absolutely recommend them! They’re incredibly responsive to all forms of communication and very helpful with answering any and all questions. I would trust my pets here any day!

Dr. Norman and her outstanding team saw three rescue dogs from Heart Hounds Rescue Network this evening and gave them all the royal treatment getting them checked over and in tip-top shape for their new… families. They went above and beyond and came (masked) outside after each exam to go over information with adopters, demonstrate how to give meds and answer any questions adopters had about everything from diet and nutrition to heartworm and tick prevention.
I have been bringing my own pets to Yorkwood since moving here two years ago and they were the natural choice when I started my rescue

We have gone to this vet for a while now with 3 cats and 3 dogs. We have brought in Cats and dogs for scheduled check ups and health concerns and had no issues. Only problem we have had was a specific Vet botched putting one of our dogs to sleep which was stressful and very unpleasant. The clinic was very understanding and we have not had to deal with that person again.

Yorkwood has been a caregiver and a friend to our family for 24 years. We had our little girl Pocket with us for 11 years and beautiful Chopper for 13 years. Through all the good times and bad times they where… there for us. We cannot thank Dr. Norman and her team for always putting us at ease when we where troubled about our girls. If we ever got another fur baby I would put them in the trusting arms of Yorkwood Veterinary Clinic in a second. I would also like to thank Pat for making our Chopper beautiful through out her life with her regulars Spa days. I knew I was giving her to Pats gentle

Strong recommend. Been going to this vet for almost 2 years now since we adopted our rescue. My typically fearful husky Shepherd mix has no problems going to the clinic, even with recent restrictions due to COVID. I know at the beginning of the pandemic it was tough getting appointments since they had to reorganize their schedule. But I've had to book appointments three times in the last two months and two appointments were able to be booked in less than 5 days and the most recent appointment was booked next day. In comparison to friends and family that I've spoken to, pricing here seems to be

Yorkwood staff and Dr’s are the most amazing animal care givers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Dr. A and office manager Sue, were instrumental in saving our little puppy Charlie’s life recently. He was… diagnosed with IMHA, a very serious immune disease. We almost lost our fur baby. Both Dr. A and Sue went above and beyond with Charlie’s level of care. Sue took my relentless worried calls night and day until Charlie was back home with us. All of this happened during this awful pandemic and my 10 year old son was devastated without his puppy. Now thanks to Charlie
