Dr. Bakhshi received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Toronto in 2009. Upon graduation, he worked in Toronto, Trenton, and Brampton Ontario for a few years before moving to beautiful vancouver. Dr. Bakhshi is well known with his patients for his genuine care and gentle touch and his kind manner with children.

Dr. Shaun Filonowicz earned his dentistry degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2013. In addition, he holds a degree in engineering from Queen's University and another in biochemistry from the University of Guelph. Throughout his academic career, Shaun was on the Dean's Honor list and received multiple awards.
Dr. Naddaf was born to be a dentist. When asked as a child what he would like to be when he grows up, a dentist was his first and only answer. Dr. Naddaf brings over 11 years of experience as a dentist. After graduating from University of Toronto, he worked in Port Hope, Ontario for several years prior to making the move to the beautiful British Columbia along with his wife and young daughter.
We at Seawall Dental believe there is no better option for optimal dental health than minimally invasive dentistry; it is best to preserve and protect what nature gave us. Beginning with an extensive comprehensive exam, we use a health-based model to assess your relative risk to various oral health issues including cavities, periodontal disease, function and bite problems, as well as esthetics.

Years ago I went looking for a dental clinic that would be patient with me and gentle with my mouth, friendly and helpful, generally pleasant to go to. I was recommended Seawall and have been very happy ever since. They even found issues and suggested remediations my previous clinic hadn’t. I’m very happy and thankful for all the staff here. I informed several dentists here many times over a period of around a year about a growing indent in a filling on one of my molars. I was told nothing could be done, and was recommended a custom bite guard which I paid for. After changing to a different dentist office they discovered I had a cavity growing under that filling which was causing the issue and they replaced the filling. The cavity growing underneath almost reached the nerve of my tooth because it wasn't caught sooner. I also learned I never actually needed that bite guard.

Almost 50 years ago, my partner and I returned to Canada from England. A toothache developed, and I asked a friend and neighbour if she could recommend a dentist. Well, she enthusiastically suggested Dr. Michael Engelbert of Seawall Dental. We saw him for about 20 years, and, later, we met many more dentists and staff. In all that time, my family has had nothing but positive experiences. Not even a single complaint! Years ago, Dr. Engelbert had put up an embroidered sampler on the wall next to the patients’ chair. It said: Ignore your teeth and they will go away. You really don’t want that

I almost hate to say it, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed my hygiene/cleaning appointment today!
Nida was gentle, attentive, extremely careful to check that I wasn't suffering any kind of discomfort constantly, never rushed me, took time, and at the end left my teeth smooth, clean and happy.
Cleaning is the procedure I usually dread most. I say I preferred my oral bone graft and implants to having my teeth cleaned. So I was definitely a difficult, nervous patient!
Not only was the whole cleaning gentle and unintrusive and pain-free, we had the most fabulous conversations about the awful musak

I had toothache and staff responded very quickly and effectively by finding appointment dates that worked for me and accommodating follow up work quickly. The dental work was done very well by two dentists. A root canal was required. That went well. Happy with my temporary crown. Final crown in two weeks.

Oliya the hygenist was amazing. She was recommended to me and exceeded my expectations. I have been going to Seawall since the 70's and even though the original dentists and hygenists have changed, I continue to come from Whistler for their great care and service. Oliya even convinced me after all these years to buy a water pik - gentle coaching the entire time she was cleaning my teeth. Good job Oliya.
