Went in looking for a low profile box as I do not have very much clearance in my parkade (6’3 and I have an Outback). Karim was able to find me a box that fit my needs and my car. He was very knowledgeable and made the buying process very easy, would recommend asking for him.

Service was good and sales person was knowledgeable. The only thing I didn't like was the install fee. There was no mention of an $50 install fee until we went to pay for the transaction after it was already installed and mounted. If you are knowledgeable enough and had another person with you, this could be easily done in the parking lot. They didn't give us an option. That being said, they gave us a height measurement with the roof box mounted to know where you can and can't fit.

If I could rate this store with a negative 5 stars I would! Referring to the Racks Unlimited location on 16th ave in Calgary.

Earlier this year I purchased a new iKamper roof top tent. After seeing them on-line and comparing them to several other brands and styles available I was sold on this one as it's a great product and suited my needs.
I discovered that not only was Racks Unlimited an "authorized dealer" but they had them in stock so I thought I was in luck. I went down to the store and after meeting the condescending d*#K I had to deal with (not sure his name but he&apos

This is just a heads up for anyone purchasing a $600+ rack like I did. A few months after the purchase, one of the pins broke for the rear wheel holder. It was deemed manufacturing defect, replaced under warranty.
Now a year later one of the swing arms is not holding down the front wheel and was told that because I already made a warranty claim I would need to go through Thule. So just a heads up, you are only " allowed" one warranty claim though Racks Unlimited.

Make sure that you really do a careful inspection and take pictures yourself before renting cargo boxes from them. They will blame you for any scratch on it and charge a fee. I had rented from them before and never had problems, but it seems that something changed.

I could have installed the roof rack myself on my car, but the service and product information these guys gave me was worth the price of installation. They listened to what I wanted but they showed me what I needed. I highly recommend this business to get car racks and

Very cool store dedicated to suiting up your vehicle with the best racking system for your needs.
After calling around I found this specific location offered better prices than even their other location. (Other location quoted me minimum 25-40$ higher for exact same pieces I was looking for trying to price gouge me)
I forget the gentleman’s name who helped me but he was friendly and knowledgeable.
He assisted and guided me on how my racking set up works as he has a similar system.

My husband booked an appointment to have the hitch removed from our car. We recently purchased a newer vehicle and wanted to transfer the hitch so we could still use our bicycle rack, in the future. Granted my husband did not ask any questions, Racks Unlimited did not either. Imagine my husband's humiliation when he attended his appointment, and learned after the work had been done, the 'special' bolts and the rack itself cannot be re-used. Both items are useless. How helpful it would have been to have known this prior to the service. Clearer communication and better customer

Have purchased several items over the years from this location. The staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. During my most recent visit the staff helped me find kayak rack solution that would work with my thule ladder rack. Their help involved us go out to the truck several times with different racks to find something that would work.
Quick aside for those thinking of getting the Thule Tracrac SR, the cross bars are 4" wide which is too wide to accommodate many of Thule's other accessories. (Kayak racks, ski boxes, etc.) I ended up going with the Yakima Big Stack modified with
