I worked for Gold Cross while I was completing school to become a Recreation Therapist. As a "recreation companion" at the time, I was able to spend time with seniors either in their home or in long term care facility to do activities with them, take them on walks, assist with meals and provide memory care support to those experiencing various stages of dementia. These services were a great way to provide social stimulation and keep clients engaged in their daily lives.
