Steelcity Physiotherapy is the vision of two very experienced physiotherapists who have practiced in and owned physiotherapy clinics in the Interlake for many years. Both physiotherapists have a strong orthopaedic background and have tremendous experience in treating many forms of injuries and disease.
In our clinic, we provide the benefit to individuals by having a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care in addition to becoming an integral part of a local health care team. At our core is a strong foundation of physiotherapy with the vision of complimenting it with valuable secondary services such as occupational therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, athletic therapy, and semi-private training.

Services
Steelcity Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre is a 6000 square foot state of the art facility. It was professionally designed to be an efficient practicing clinic but also to be modern and esthetically pleasing. It has 11 treatment rooms, two of which are private, two massage rooms, a 546 square foot aquatic therapy pool and a 1,000 square foot exercise area to be used for physiotherapy or massage therapy.
In planning our new centre we wanted to add additional services to help with this. Our goal is to assemble a team of skilled and experienced practitioners who will strive to empower individuals to grab a hold of their life. The possibilities are endless. We don't believe in "floof" but will provide treatments and services based on science and evidence-based practice.
Aquatic Therapy is a form of rehabilitation in which a patient is in water performing therapeutic exercise or treatment. It is similar to land-based therapy in the sense that there are clear goals and objectives, a rehabilitation plan and measurable outcomes. Patients work in a vertical position, rarely putting their face or head in the water.
Athletic Therapy is a health care profession which specializes in the management of orthopedic / musculoskeletal injuries including the prevention, immediate care and rehabilitation. Athletic Therapists adopt an active approach to injury recovery for everyone from the active individual and worker to the high performance athlete.
Physiotherapists and Athletic Therapists are very knowledgable when it comes to prescribing and choosing braces, splints and mobility aids. Our clinic has an inventory of some of the more commonly used items. We are committed to helping you determine your needs, and finding an appropriate supplier to address them.
