A visit to your Optometrist is a one-stop destination for all your eye health needs including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and eye care products such as contact lenses and eyeglasses. They specialize in detecting defects in vision, signs of injury, eye diseases and general health problems. An eye exam can reveal early signs of high blood pressure, tumors and diabetes.
For over 30 years, successive Ontario governments have ignored Optometrists. In 1989 the fee paid for an OHIP insured eye exam was $39.15; today, over 32 years later, it is on average $44.65. This has not kept up with inflation and does not come close to covering the cost (including rent, staff, utilities, equipment, taxes and supplies) to provide an eye exam.
Routine eye exams are important, regardless of your age or physical health. During a complete eye exam, Dr. Samuel & will not only determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, but will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health.
Eye problems can range from mild to severe; some are chronic, while others may resolve on their own, never to appear again. This is a very good eye clinic. Doctor Chen and her staffs are very good.My whole family are dr.chen patient. She is a very good doctor with excellent knowledge. I had a serious problem with my eyes and she helped me out in time and my eyes are very good.everyyear we go to her for our regular check up.I always recommend my friends and family to dr Chen.

I have been a patient and customer here for almost two decades. The care by Dr Samuel and Dr Chen is personalized and thorough. I especially appreciate the time each doctor takes to address concerns and ensure complete eye care.
While the selection of frames is adequate, the expertise of the optician in the knowledge of lenses and frames is clearly superior to any eyeglass store.

My family and I have been looked after by Dr. Samuel for years. He is a very kind and dedicated Optometrist who is very comfortable to be around. He is very thorough and answers all questions. During my latest visit I needed to get my first pair of glasses and the young lady working there (I believe her name is Farrah) was fantastic in assisting me in picking out a pair (especially since my vision was terribly impaired after the drops).

Dr Samuel and Dr Chen are amazing I've seen them twice in the last week and all experiences have been top-notch. Their staff is very friendly and makes you feel like family literally. If you ever have any eye Care needs I would definitely recommend going to Kipling family eye Care. I'm always well keep taking care of and now that I have a family of my own they all go there too!
