Hudson Plating & Coating
Hudson Plating has been providing a full scope of outstanding corrosion protection services to lower mainland businesses and manufacturers since 1948. We believe that the quality of your product begins beneath the finish. Our goal is to provide our customers with a finished product that will perform beyond your expectations.

To ensure this, we take the time to perform pre-production inspections that eliminate any defective material that could degrade the final product. We strictly abide by Canada's Air Discharge Regulations & have our pollution control in service for 62 years. Our team also monitors water discharge 24 hours a day.

Hudson Plating Company Inc. was established in 1948 on Hudson street in Vancouver British Columbia. The company now consists of a plating division which offers a variety of plating finishes and grinding as well as a powder division which is one of the largest powder coating companies in the Vancouver area.
Hudson Plating And Coatings (HP) provides a full scope of plating, spray coating, and other corrosion protection services to our many customers. We strive to meet or exceed customer expectations through innovative solutions to finishing issues. Our customers value and trust our commitment to get their job done right the first time, on schedule and on budget.
Electroplating is a process used to coat a conductive part with a thin layer of metallic material (by passing an electric current through a chemical solution) in order to provide a different chemical, physical, and mechanical characteristics to the part which would otherwise be unable to exhibit the characteristic.
Zinc plating is a thin film galvanic coating that provides moderate corrosion protection. It is a fairly attractive finish although not highly decorative. It is widely used on hardware (nuts, bolts, washers and screws), construction products (rebar, post brackets, scaffolding supports), electronic components (the frames that hold the wiring) and mechanical parts (packaging equipment, conveyors, lifting devises, etc.).
Take a brief tour of our facility and see key stages of The Hudson Production System, designed to insure customer satisfaction. Powder coating is by far the youngest of the surface finishing techniques in common use today; it is used to apply a superior finish to metal products. It was first used in Australia about 1967, where the technique of applying dry paint to a part was refined.
