Great place to relax and work, I just wished that they could lower down the music volume.
Also, the place was heated too much and made me leave the cafe for fresh air. Otherwise, it's a good cafe.

The espresso was quick and served quickly you have to add sugar and cream yourself the cream was not filled up neither was the milk. No one acknowledges you they all have their faces in a laptop and phone would have gave 2 stars but there was a cute redhead talking to her friend outside that earned this place and extra star.

This is the Kingsway waves branch. I am giving this one 5 stars because of the good and friendly service. It’s smaller than waves downtown Vancouver and the location is not great as downtown one. Still I love it because of the customer service. Still the coffee taste and the Christmas eggnog and lattes are the best taste in Vancouver.

Should be 5 starts. Dropped in, ordered coffee, it appeared in like 5 seconds, and it was really really solid. They have a great machine. Barista knows what they were doing. Found a spot to sit and thoroughly enjoyed the coffee. What a good day!

Banana chocolate chip bread warmed up was soo good but the Belgian mocha didn't smell like coffee or chocolate and also didn't taste like coffee or chocolate...more of a nutty flavour. I'd return for the loaf but not the beverage.

The staff are fairly nice and the environment is great to get work done! I would say the drinks are quite overpriced considering the syrup in the iced tea just sits at the bottom and doesn’t blend very well. It gets very busy— if any students are going there to study, be sure to grab a seat while you can!

Waves is pretty dope eh! Albeit a more expensive chain coffee joint, I love their grass roots and share the love of the great white north. The joint itself is a great location to grab a coffee and walk round the very beautiful Central Park area. Alternatively, it's a great place to chill in a relaxed, mellow and non-judgmental laid back vibe which seems to be the same across all their branches. I must admit that I also get one of my favorite barista made Soy Cappucinos, always from here with great consistency. The staff are always super friendly, professional and talented at making yummy drinks

Businesses still do not seem to get it. Walked into the cafe at 430PM April 8th and employee was wearing her mask only barely over her mouth.

Told her she should be wearing it over her nose and mouth and then left. Another business I will ever return to......inside a business everyone working there is supposed to be wearing a mask properly AT ALL TIMES!!

Not the type to ever write a review (this is my first one) but such a weird experience at Waves Coffee today. I guess they forgot to make someone's latte and when he asked if it was made, the employee (I think she was the manager) could not keep her cool. When she brought him the latte, she immediately made sure to blame her fellow coworker and then reamed her out in front of everyone and made sure to do it quite loudly. So unprofessional and such a ridiculous way to teach someone who was clearly either in training or a newer employee.

My dark Belgian mocha was alright.
The drink tasted powdery, rather than being creamy and rich. Will give the place another try.
There was a small selection of muffins and breakfast wraps.
Service was quick.
There’s lots of indoor and patio seating available at this location, with free wifi.
Free Parking on street!

Nice and cozy atmosphere location with a good and fresh collection of bakery products.
Sometimes it’s crowded and surprisingly not loud, most of the people comes here to study with their books and laptops.
Great customer service and definitely high recommend if you want to have a cup of coffee with a book to read this will be the place for you.

Nice quiet and cozy space on the weekends. Latte is decent but the matcha latte was way more milky and barely had any matcha taste to it. I'd stick with espresso based drinks. Parking is ok to find on the side street.

Bonus star: their meeting room is free for 2 hours, minimum 2 ppl is all that's requires. what a deal. spacious, in back corner.

friendly service, and one of the better layouts.

long counter tops to display good selection of wraps and desserts.

typically I takeout the sticky toffee so I can add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream (ok, lots of scoops lol ). recommended!

I stop in here occasionally before/after hair cut at the salon nearby. Very nice service, always somewhere to sit and free wifi. I see lots of complaints about their drinks, but I've only had good drinks here but I usually go for iced teas. The fuzzy peach is sooooo good!

We were heading over to Starbucks nearby and found out they just closed. A number of Starbucks customers including ourselves wandered across the street here after. Thank goodness Waves stayed open later on Christmas Day so we can enjoy our java fix. Also, the manager kindly accepted the Entertainment Coupon for a BOGO drink :)!

They still have decent espresso but now so big and serving in a big cup. Espresso should be short and in a espresso cup. The girl that was helping on this day was great and made a tasty espresso. Not sure why switched cause at first was good size.

Free coffee day! I've never had a Waves coffee (I've only gone for the absolutely delicious hot chocolate) and it was pretty tasty. Plus this is a nicer than usual Waves, friendly barista even though, as a precious poster mentioned, she was a little pushy.

When I first entered this overly bright coffee house I was pretty unsure that it would be anything but a BAD post movie drink spot. I quickly discovered their 2/1 coupons in entertainment book- joy!
The staff were friendly and genuine. They helped me navigate choosing a Rooibos drink. Like a coffee drink latte or cappuccino you get the tea run through the same type machine as the coffee. It creates a rich delish blend. Sweetening choices range from liquid sweetener to honey (and even honey sweetener which was kinda unusual given that it's a honey knock off blend). Thanks to Nelson C. for tipping me off about this newest coffee establishment.

As it was their Grand Opening, everyone was on their best behaviour. Hopefully the level of service keeps up.

Parking is available on the side street (back-in diagonal parking). If that lot is full, just go 1 block to the S.

The layout is very modern. More so than many of the other locations. I'll take a brightly lit place over a dimly lit one any day. Special mention goes to the boardroom in the back - yes, you can hold meetings here, and I think it's free! It has a glass sliding door too. Just call

Yay! We have another coffee chain on the Heights that opens late. It's open until 10! The drinks are good and they have a conference room in the back just like every other waves!
