At Rosewood Cottages and Vacation House Rentals we offer you an excellent Ontario location for your vacation or getaway, as well as superb lodging in our three bedroom vacation house, or our one and two bedroom housekeeping cottages. We are located on the Saugeen River, in Southampton, ON on the Lake Huron shoreline of the Bruce peninsula.
The property is waterfront, situated on the picturesque Saugeen River, offering a lovely, scenic view. You'll also be a three minute ride from our famous sandy beaches at Southampton, which offer spectacular sunsets as well as swimming in the clear blue waters of Lake Huron.
The Rosewood House is fully self-contained, featuring three bedrooms (one queensize, four twin beds and a double/single futon bunk), a spare room with a single bed, a four piece bathroom, a large, modern kitchen with dining area, and parking for three (+) cars.All pillows, sheets, and blankets are supplied.

All cottages are completed with a fully equipped kitchen (includes microwave/coffee maker), gas barbeques, Wi-Fi access, as well as cable television with a DVD player. All bathrooms include a shower, blankets and pillows will be provided. Please bring your own towels and sheets (linens provided in the Vacation House only).
Fish love our stretch of the Saugeen. Rosewood draws serious fishermen in like a magnet and we show our appreciation by catering to fishermen's needs as the important customers they are. Check out the services we provide, the kinds of fish you have access to and useful local fishing information. This stretch of the Saugeen River is one of the premier Steelhead - Chinook rivers in Ontario.
There is lots to do in Saugeen Shores! Spend your relaxing days bathing in the sunshine or explore the Bruce County. There is something for everyone! Visit the local shops up town or take an afternoon trip to one of the close cities near by. Your vacation in Saugeen Shores is going to be filled with fun memories that you'll have for a lifetime!

Very nice and cosy cottage and trailer park with super friendly staff. Not a lot of bells and whistles but the prices can't be beat! Fishing just steps away in the Saugeen river with the town of Southampton within walking distance as is the beach. Swimming pool on site and Southampton Golf and Country club right around the corner means this place has something for everyone...a hidden gem!

Have been going here for the past seven years with friends many times throughout the year. Such professionalism is very fresh to see. The rooms are super clean, lots of amenities, and the Saugeen river is right beside the cottages. Beautiful location. These lads are friendly, and respectful. I highly recommend for those looking for an outing with a significant other or with friends/family. Has my business until the end of times. Thanks again all for making each time a magical experience.

Stayed for 2 nights on a last minute trip with the kids for the long weekend.
Staff were kind, helpful, welcoming and accommodating.
Property is huge and beautiful.
Heated pool onsite. Clean and well maintained.
Gorgeous view of the Saugeen River but the main deck feels like it's ready to crumble under your feet.
Stayed in cottage 1. I'm not going to talk badly here but I will say that there are many details in this cottage that required replacement, refreshing and cleaning many many years ago. It was not really a pleasant stay in this particular cottage.
Overall it was a great family trip

The best cottage resort that we have visited & we have yet to find a spot that can beat it. Rosewoods setup and staff are awesome and we leave as happy campers every time. Whether you are in the vacation house or one of the smaller cottages, you will find yourself at home. Rosewood Cottages and Southampton in general is a great spot to be.

Southampton is our personal favourite vacation getaway and Rosewood Cottages is an excellent place to stay. We have stayed on multiple occasions and found that the price is right and the staff are friendly. The cottages are in terrific condition and well supplied with everything you may need. There is plenty to do onsite with a heated pool, campfires, a river to fish or boat, and plenty to do in the surrounding area. After visiting some other cottage resorts in other areas, we found ourselves missing Rosewood Cottages exceptionally. It simply can't be beat!
