Access Medical Clinics "AMC" were the first two clinics in Hawaii entirely contained within a drugstore and run by physicians. Opened in early 2008, AMC physicians and other providers see patients in our clinics contained in the Longs Drug Stores at the Ewa Beach Town Center and the Mililani Town Center.
Access Medical Clinics are the first of its kind in Hawaii and are sometimes referred to as "Convenient Care Centers" or "Retail Clinics". The extended hours of our clinic are non-traditional and meant to bring access to care in the evenings, holidays, and weekends. AMC doctors see patients from age two on up for a wide variety of acute care services and do so on a walk-in basis.

We have found ourselves with no medical insurance so to say we cross our fingers and pray nothing happens is an understatement. My husband got an infection from a cut. We did all the home treatments and well that was no longer and option it was out of control. Called around to places like Waianae Comp and other urgent cares and cash patients close to $300 a visit. Called access and its a 1/3 of the cost. Got there husband forgot his ID, I didn't understand why that actually matter as a cash patient but there clinic there rules. Came back and had someone ahead of us. Dr Kubo was woah

I was very disappointed by Access Medical Clinics in Ewa Beach and Mililani Hawaii.
Last week, I was coughing for week, and it came to the point that I needed an immediate medical attention.
I got a list of Urgent cares from my health insurance and called the Access Medical Clinics in Ewa Beach which was close to my resident. I needed to ensure if they are still in network with my insurance company, which she confirmed. The receptionist asked for my health insurance information; GEHA (Government Employee Health Association) UHC. She then was nice enough to inform me that I have to pay all cost

If you're looking for health care providers who have heart, visit these clinics. I do have a favorite, Dr. Thompson. He is an awesome clinician and person. Very effective communicator, even speaks Japanese. He is also a great listener, which is hard to come by in medicine these days, to me anyway. My son was a patient of Dr. Yamashiro, and he could make my son smile with a nasty case of bronchitis that left him breathless and panicky. The extended staff of Access Medical is outstanding too. You can tell when office staff and MAs have been supported and given clinical knowledge, made to be

I believe you learn one thing new every day (however big or insignificant)! With that said, I learned that there was an "urgent care" clinic five minutes away from me!! Located INSIDE Long's Drug Store in the Ewa Town Center (by Foodland on Ft. Weaver Road).
I was needing a two step PPD for my mother recently and instead of having to drive to town to get this nano second "shot" and subsequent three visits thereafter, it was suggested that I visit one of these Access Clinics close to me. I never knew!! And as Oprah would say, "when you know better...you do better

Because it was busy & I was very uncomfortable the medical assistant (Tyler) offered to let me sign in, leave & be called when they are ready so I could be comfortable at home rather than waiting hour half. Once I was seen it went by really quick. It's good to know there's an urgent care five min from home. It's really hidden inside of longs near foodland. Tyler was super sweet, caring & helpful.

This place is so hidden...poor communication with customers!! Asked if accept medquest and over the phone they were quick with the answer yes. Show up and they don't accept medquest!! For a parent with a child in need of medical attention...they seriously need to work on their communication skills!!

Had a TB test done two days ago. There's a very specific time frame for when it needs to be read and to get your results. Mine was today after 2:30 pm up until 2:30 pm tomorrow. I arrived at 4:00pm to find the closed sign and the receptionist telling someone else that the doctor had to leave early at 3:00 pm and that they would re-open tomorrow. I came in at certain hours because I work two jobs and it's difficult to find a good time. I understand Hawaii time but 5 hours early is ridiculous. Thanks to Kaploei for the service and no wait regardless, of the co-pay.

I should have heeded Lilly B's unintentional warning that she gave when she said this place was closing early but they stayed open for her. She said that was worth 5 stars. For what staying open during normal business hours? Should have put 2 and 2 together. Drove all the way from way up Makakilo drive to get to this place at 6:45 P.M. and it was closed.
So I thought to myself should have seen that one coming and I will call next time. So the next day I actually called to make sure they were still open and they said they were and when I showed up they were CLOSED!!!! Burn me once shame on

There is no question that this is a terrific treatment alternative when you don't have an urgent or serious medical condition. I have gone to the Ewa Beach Access Medical Clinical several times and received treatment comparable to what I would have received from my PCP. And there's very little (if any) wait! I truly appreciate the convenience of it.
On my last visit, though, I was disappointed by what occurred. I went in for a cold that had persisted for several days. My primary symptom was coughing, which was the reason I went into the clinic...to try to manage the coughing because

I really enjoyed seeing Dr. Kubo when I had acute problems. I was seeing him at another practice, and I was informed that he also practiced at the Access Medical Clinic in Longs in Ewa Beach. I was saddened when I went here because I was told that he no longer works at this location (even though his name is all over the place still). If I had seen Dr. Kubo on my visits here, I would have probably given 5 stars.
I've been to this location 2 times. I've been able to walk-in and be seen within an hour which was very convenient. I have had my prescriptions filled at the Longs next to the

On a vacation on Oahu with our four year old and our Japanese au pair, and our four year old unfortunately been complaining of her eating her earlier in the day. We were heading to stay in Ko Olina so I quickly jumped on yelp and found Tiffany Y's review of Access Medical Clinics so decided to stop by.
To be honest, I was first taken a bit aback that this clinic is located in Long's Drugs... but the physician's assistant that saw her was extremely sweet with children and the receptionist was friendly. Then the side benefit that this is located in Long's comes into play

My primary provider is smart--he doesn't schedule same day appointments for people who suddenly wants an appointment for a small cold, need a doctor's note, or just wants to talk story with him. This is another way for him to keep his clinic flowing instead of being constantly interrupted from the hypochondriacs. I love that provider. He is the bomb diggity. It is ingenious and what is more ingenious is urgent care clinics that are made specifically for these type of doctors or individuals that just needs something quick.
