Services
Guelph Orthotics provides Custom Orthotics, Bracing, Orthotic Footwear, and Movement Analysis to residents of Guelph and the surrounding area. Our mission is to improve our patients' and clients' quality of life, by providing them with the highest possible standard of orthotic care and customer service.
At Guelph Orthotics, we the use the most advanced movement analysis technologies available today. After the assessment, we will take hand molded casts of your feet. The casts will then be turned into molds and your orthotics will be vacuum formed to these molds to ensure an exacting fit. All of this takes place in our in-house fabrication facility.
Guelph Orthotics prides itself in the quality and craftsmanship of the devices that come out of our in-house fabrication facility. Your first appointment will be a comprehensive biomechanical assessment including the use of in-shoe pressure measurement technology (see more below). This appointment can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes to complete.
Our knee braces are made with the latest technology, so you can use them all day long and not be in pain. The 3D printed custom design provides maximum relief from arthritis to your knees while minimizing bulk for a comfortable fit whatever the activity! The design of the knee brace reduces the load going through the unhealthy part of the knee and redirects it through the healthy tissue.
Here at Guelph Orthotics, our custom braces are designed and built using the most advanced, effective, and precise technology and technique. We have developed knee-ankle foot orthoses (KAFOs), ankle-foot orthothoses (AFOs) braces, back braces, and a wide variety of other custom supportive devices for many of our patients.

I cannot stress enough how happy I am to be one of James clients. I have just had new AFO’s made by him over the Christmas holidays including first fitting within two weeks. I would like to mention that I have spastic cp and one of my feet is complicated to address. He was very confident and sure that he could make my new pair just as comfortable as my old pair. The outcome exceeded my expectations - not only did we reach the support as needed, but the fit of the afo in my shoe was

I cannot say enough about Guelph Orthotics. James and his staff are kind, caring and knowledgeable. I went to see them for running orthotics, after year of a sedentary life style I was able to train for a 30km race in just a few month with no shin splints, knee or hip pain. James saw me twice after creating the orthotics to make sure everything was just right. I really appreciate everything they have done for me. Thank you Guelph Orthotics!

Thanks James and your team for your professionalism and care! I thought my long distance runs may have come to an end with plantar fasciitis. I felt good results within days of getting my orthotics - they’re amazing! I finished my physio and continue to stretch ... I have slowly started back to running and other activities.
