Your orthotics (or orthoses) are custom-made on-site and designed with the purpose to treat your specific foot and lower limb condition. The choice of materials and how those materials are combined play an important role. As important is the proper preparation and modification of the plaster cast (or digital image) to produce orthotics that can be worn comfortably.
The objective, is to provide relief from pain, and to stabilize and support the feet. The type of orthotics made will depend on the condition treated. You may watch this very fast and short video for a unique snapshot of our manufacturing process. Trade secrets not included. Ask us why.

Services
With over 25 years experience as a pedorthist, I have provided pedorthic services for 13 years at a corporate medical franchise and for the last 12 years as an owner operator of my own clinic (Fit to Walk Inc.) in Fergus. I have worked in association with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths.
At Fit to Walk your orthotics are custom-made at our on-site lab, and adapted to your particular foot and/or lower limb condition and lifestyle requirements. How well your orthotics work with your footwear is of utmost importance. It is so important that your footwear is right for your condition that it can make or break whether your orthotics will work for you.
Fit to Walk is a service oriented company. Optimum service can be provided when the pedorthist who performs the evaluation, is also the individual who manufactures the orthotics and is capable of making adjustments on-site! Orthotic providers who use third party labs do not have that advantage, and therefore have to communicate the manufacturing requirements to the lab.
